Hey Guys,

Over in Japan I bought a Sharp Twin Famicom (basically a hybrid Famicom cart/disk system). I know the Japanese use 100v which doesn't mess with US appliances plugged in there (because they run on a higher 120v), but what about the reverse? I dont' want to accidently fry this thing when I turn it on. The AC adaptor says 100v, do I need a voltage convertor or something similar?

It shouln't be aproblem...

Isn't US more like 110 Volts?

Seems like the most you would do is fuck up the PSU....

Can you just use a different PSU? That should fix everything.

Yeah, if you find a US Ac adaptor with the same specs go for it!

I don't know what langouge the Twin is on, but it should have an acceptable input range on it. Most Jp AC adaptors are designed to accept 100-120 volts.

US and JP voltages are pretty much classed the same 100v-120v within that range. Even the power point plugs are the same.

I'm fairly confident you won't have any problems with your Famicom running on local power.

Shouldn't be a problem, from what I understand. Having the voltage dead on isn't absolutely critical in either situation.

Thanks everyone.
