Hi al I was wondering if it was possible to put the joysticks from an aes controller in an mvs cab. I Just really like the joystick on the home controller so I was wondering if it was possible to put in on the cab and if not is there like something equivilant(sp) to the joysticks like the ones on the home pad? :help:

Well i guess anything is possible... but why would you want to do that?..MVS joysticks are more robust...is your mvs stick broken?... you may be just better getting a new one supplied from an arcade parts specialist... :D

well the 1player joystick is like on its last leg and i have a controller that I can sacrafice so i was just seeing if anyone like could get tips or whatnot on doing it. I have never messed with the insides of the cab except for changing carts.

Well... no disrespect matey, but if thats all you have done inside a cab...then i would just source a STD stick to bob in there without breaking into a sweat its just an easy swop for swop....no modifying!.. :D

If you have a 2, 4, or six slot, you could just run your joystick cable inside directly to the joystick ports on the board.

Go with a Sanwa joystick if you want something a little closer to the AES Old Style Stick. The Sanwas have square actuators like the AES stick - competitions are round I believe. Personally, I've got competitions in mine, and they work fine, but I think Sanwas are much nicer sticks.

I've read alot of good things about sanwa sticks and I am interested in getting one of those. How much do they generally cost and were's a good place to swoop one of those badboys? and to SamuraiShodownSensei I am running a controller right now thru the cab except it looks taky and it to me kind of takes away from that arcade experiance by not using the control's on it.
