Button trouble

I had my MVS in a garage during the cold winter and it frosted over at one point. I moved to another state and it was left in another garage, much warmer. At no point when it was frosted or even a month after I moved did I turn it on. I finally did turn it on today only to find the player one A button and player two D button no longer registered. Everything was working fine before the frost and the move. Everything else seems to be working now except those two buttons.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong? How can I fix them?

Any help would be really appreciated.

So your pressing them and they don't work?...Are they clicking?..or are they stuck/no click..?

Can you go into Hardware Test(Press test Switch)and see if they are registering..or is that what you "are" doing..?

Check the wires on the switches under the buttons..Maybe something came off or is corroded..

Hey buddy get your MVS out of the garage pronto!!!....before its completely f###-up!!! :(
A damp garage will trash your cab in no time...Remove the control panel & remove the connectors to the buttons & clean each one with switch cleaner, One at a time
that should work for you...the problem is when warm air meets your cold cab moisture is produced & that ain't good for the insides of your cab man :shame: ....Get it in your nice warm humble abode!!!! :tickled:

Thanks for the help

To answer questions:

The buttons click, they don't get stuck - they simply don't register. It actually took a minute or two of playing for me to realize this. Nothing had seemed wrong at first.

The garage is pretty dry actually. But the real issue is that I can't move it into the house. I am moving again about an hour away in a few months and it is at that point I'll had planned to have the cab inddors.

All in all, the cab's been exposed to the cold/warm treatment for a couple months which kind iof makes me sick to my stomach but there isn't much I can do. For now it seems only the 2 buttons are broken, though I did notice I had to press the "game switch" button a couple times or prety hard to get it to register as well.

Thanks again

Then it's a wiring issue. Also is the JAMMA board screwed down inside of the cab because with the cab being moved so much it could have knocked something loose.
