I have a question about CPS1 and CPS2 kick harnesses

Ok,

So I have a supergun and some arcade machines with Capcom CPS1 kick harnesses in them.

I want to play CPS2 games on them.

Im thinking that since the easiest way to do this would be to create an adapter that would plug into the cps1 female plug and be wired into the cps2 kick harness.

Does anyone know if this will work? I have a plug that will work with the cps1 harness and a new cps2 harness to solder onto the plug.

Also can someone tell me the CPS1 pinouts? I have the CPS2 pinouts, but for some reason I cannot find the CPS1 pinouts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Ok I found a copy of the cps1 pinouts. But will this work?

Does anyone sell this adapter?

I looked around for a while to try and find one but no one did. Thats why I decided to just make one.

But I am glad to say that I just finished wiring it up and soldering it and it works perfectly :-)

I can take pics if anyone is intersted.

I used two different adapters. A female adapter that had the blue wires already coming out of them and the white adatper that had pins on both sides (male to male). The white one also had plastic tabs that i removed so that the cps1 kick harness can only go on one way. I picked them both up for like $10 on ebay in a lot of arcade adapters someone was selling

Hey,

Good work.

May I make a reccomendation? I'd use something better to splice the wires than those wire nuts... I highly recommend soldering the wires together in a way in which they are parallel, and then covering the bare areas and a little more with heat-shrinkable tubing (just remember to slide the tubing on first :)). Then heat the tubing up. This is the best way to make permanent splices.
