I was wondering if anyone could tell me something about Japanese Inserts. On the spine, there is always a colored horizontal bar near the bottom of the spine (just above the SNK logo). The text within those bars.......are they the Titles of the games also or do they say something different everytime?

The Bars on the bottom of JP AES carts are somewhat with the Color Coding of the Stripes on the top part of Euro Carts.

I.e.
Red = Fighter
Blue = Shooter
Yellow = Puzzle
Green = Sports

But also JP carts have Purple, Red,and dark blue variations... For Instance (according to my carts)
Sam Sho 1 - Purple
Sam Sho 2 - Red
Sam Sho 3 - Green
Sam Sho IV - Purple
Sam Sho V Special - Red

The text on the JP bars vary from game type to game type

I.e. Kof 97 - Team Battle Action Game - チーム戦闘行為のゲーム (Not a correct translation) - Red
Waku Waku 7 - Hyper Active Action Game - Red
Ultimate 11 - Super Real Soccer Game - Yellow
Sonic Wings 3 - Real Shooting Game - Yellow
Kabuki Klash: Far East of Eden - Blue
Pulstar - Super Visual Shooting game - purple
Samurai Shodown - Katana Battle Action Game (although Sam Sho 1/2 have slightly different text than Sam Sho 3-5s)
Legend of Success Joe - Boxing Action Game - Red
Real Bout 2 - Real Battle Action game - Red
et cetera.

A person who understands Japanese could give a more in depth account...

Like xtoo_short20x likes to point out "SNK was inconsistent with its releases."

the bars in the JPN release arent color coded, they used whatever color suited better the spine design.

the text is in most of the cases, the same text of the description game text in the spine.
