I need one more option: "Sticking with my import PSP for the time being, but buying American games (they better work)."

I'm picking up Wipeout Pure tomorrow, and Metal Gear Acid and Untold Legends on the 24th.

I'm going to wait for the price to drop.

With my chick situation, I can't afford to waste my money on games.

Getting one w/ Ridge Racers. To be honest both the PSP and DS neither have must buys to me. But I love the extra features that both handhelds provide. I will definitely be utilizing a large memory stick for music and etc. I am getting Ridge Racers, probably the only game worth owning.

The hell Mike?! There's no "tweener" vote on dat list, yo!

After checking out Verbatum's import PSP I'd have to say I'm excited about the PSP and Lumines over Wi-Fi. However, I don't have a preorder and I won't be running to my nearest EB on the 24th.

But yeah, I'll buy one eventually, fer shore.

Geah!

I want to buy one. I'd probably get Lumines or Metal Gear Acid.

My option isn't on there:

I don't give a fuck about the PSP or any mobile gaming device.

And looking on-line it appears as though they've continued the trend of forcing bullshit cock sucking bundles on people. Bundle 1 game and a system, a game of the person's choice, and have at it.

Why, with places like TRU, do they feel the fucking need to bundle FIVE games with the system and charge $450+ for it? The MSRP on the system is what, $200?

I understand them wanting to make SOME money on the sale, but why force so much stuff on people?

EB online is forcing people to buy some bullshit travel bundle or some shit, just like they did with Interact's rechargeable GBA battery. And of course you had to buy 3 games as well, just like the PSP, but online you can ONLY take the game bundles THEY choose, rather than choosing your own games. Cunts.

I am so fucking glad I don't give a fuck about games these days, as bundling is one practice I've despised stores for. Forcing a person to buy at least one game or accessory is one thing, forcing shit games and worthless accessories is another.

I'm missing the option "I live in Europe so I have to wait more to get it, unless I want to import" :crying: Well, thankfully the DS was just released this weekend...

I will get one when the price drops, hopefully it will drop by the holiday season. I already know what games I want, they are RR and PURE.

That's because they don't want to have loads of games sitting around. There's only a million and not everyone is going to buy a lot or any games with a $250 price tag. Not to mention it being region free. They gotta make money somehow instead of losing it on inventory.

Mobile gaming is a total waste for me, and I won't be buying the DS or the PSP. I spend enough time at home playing games - no need to broadcast my geekdom to the entire world.

I've lost 95% of my interest in gaming. Most days are spent watching Anime or doing just about anything other than playing games. Most games these days, for me at least, are style over substance or are too complicated for me to bother learning. If I wanted to play a game that replicates real life, down to eating meals, then I'd play real life instead.

Add on that this is a portable game player only (yeah, I know about all the other features I'd never use). That makes it a retarded purchase for me. I work when I'm at work, not play games. I drive myself anywhere I go, so it's not like I can play games then. And when I'm at home, rather than playing a game on a postage stamp I'd rather play on my TV. If I had an option to play the games on the TV, say via something like a GB Player, or with video out right from the handheld, then I may be more inclined to pick it up. Portable only eliminates any desire for it.

So because game makers are creating shit games stores feel they have to stock, I'm forced to by shit? Stores stock should be THEIR problem, not mine. Maybe if they fucking did some research and figured out what games would sell, rather than stocking every game under the sun, they wouldn't have to foist shit onto buyers.

Since there's only a million to go around for launch, then perhaps, oh I don't know, stores should stock games they know will sell, then when more are available for sale, open floor space for displays?
