PS2 Assault Suits Valken/Cybernator

Is this latest port of the game any good? Like any new stuff added to it and improvements over the SNES version?

The game plays almost identical to it's 16bit predecessor. Graphically enhanced (but not too much) and some weapons are changed. I bought it played it once and it has been sitting on the shelf for 5 months.
