Free World Dialup: Free VOIP! Free 1800 number calling! Teleconferences!

I'm signed up with www.freeworlddialup.com. My number is 628428. Basically this is a really intricate free VOIP service. You can teleconference and call toll free numbers as well. This is too cool for us to not use.

I use Cordia, I have it for my home phone service. $19.99 a month unlimited calling to the US and Canada.

Pretty good but horrible service when I have a few torrents going.

Just wondering, does Cordia support teleconferencing? FWD, when using the Pulver Communicator software VOIP, can do teleconferencing. Igniz and I were messing with that last night.

I don't believe so, I have a line 1 and 2 on my VOIP box, may get a FWD account and put another phone on it

You can be lame like Igniz and I and use a software-based phone. All you need is a microphone.



Igniz: maybe later. BTW I just remembered, I read that around the holidays, FWD lets you call out, free of charge. Maybe we should stage a massive N-G.com Christmas chat-a-thon or something?

I don't even have speakers on my PC.

I am calling cordia tomorrow to get the username and password to my phone box and I am setting up line 2 with a FWD acct, my cordless phone has 2 inputs for different lines so then I can get all calls to one phone.

Does xbox live count as VOIP? If so that's pretty much free if you already have game cards or a subscription... If both people are using the Logitech wireless headset the clarity is pretty sweet.

Any ideas for pranks? Keep in mind that if we teleconference, either we can all go nuts on them, or one person can prank and the rest can listen with muted mics.

So far, I'm thinking of calling the vacation line again, or calling Nintendo's tech support and asking how to get NESticle to work.

Or, perhaps, one could conference two different people together...


EDIT: BTW they can't tell who's calling, the phone number it displays is FWD's number and not yours.
