I'm gonig to be putting on a new overlay to my super turbo cab, and I'd like to know if I should get rid of the current one (the standard capcom SFCE overlay), or just put the overlay right on top of it? Ideas?

I did it when I switch the cab from a tekken to capcom and just get some lighter liquid

Lighter liquid? Explain like I'm retarded 'cause I don't know what I'm doing. I'm THIS close to going over the old overlay. Is that a sin? Would that be really stupid of me? Honestly, tell me what to do here. :)

you could do what ever you want I just did it the way I liked it and if you like puting on a new overlay over the old then do I am not stoping. Now just take off the CP if you can then take off the joystick and the bottons then try to make a hole in between the the CP and the over lay then put some liquid between it and pull and it should come right off

Are you trying to say lighter fluid? I still don't understand fully...

yes he is. lighter fluid is supposed to be a good anti adhesive. let it soak in there then the old decal should clean off rather easy and its easy cleanup.

i would only bother if ur cab is mint though. too much work if the old overlay is clean and smooth then id just overlap if youre certain it wont show through the new one.

edit: btw i dont know how lighter fluid would work if the overlay is over untreated particle board. not sure if the wood would recover if it gets soaked with fluid.
