Need a good basic AVI video editing program

Does anyone know any good basic AVI video editing programs online?

I need to "cut" in 1/2 an avi movie file that's about 1GB in size so that I can burn it to 2CDs... any good ideas?

Virtual Dub should be able to handle something this basic with ease.

VirtualDub rocks pretty good. Check out www.vcdhelp.com for more software that is good and tutorials and stuff.

VirtualDub, can do exactly what you are trying to do.

www.virtualdub.org

Also good if you're really interested in encoding video with different codecs, filters, subtitles etc..

would WIndows Movie Maker do the job? It comes with every copy of Win XP. I use it all the time to splice up porno clips together
