So I'm thinking of getting a Sega Saturn and wanted to know if someone could tell me what fighters were released on it (US and Japan) besides Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers, Vampire Hunter and Saviour and the Capcom VS games?

And does the Action Replay work good on it for playing import games?

Well I can get all those games on PS1 and Neo Geo, I'm really looking for games that I can't get anywhere but the Saturn, because at this point the only game is Vampire Hunter and I would hate to buy a console for one game.
And thanks for the info about the Action Replay.

I will second Last Bronx. Much better than the first soul edge games.

Also, don't bother with PS1 ports.... If it's on the saturn, your probably better off.

Here's another vote for Last Bronx. One of the most underrated fighters, ever.

Pick up Fighters Mega Mix while your at it. VF + FV + Extra Sega charaters = greatness.

A few more Saturn-exclusive fighters:

- Astra Superstars (pseudo-sequel to Waku Waku 7)
- Final Fight Revenge
- Groove on Fight
- Rabbit
- Sonic Council

I know it's not every body favorite "Capcom fighter".

Still for what it's worth i think it's a... decent port.

AVOID Final Fight. Unless you want it for nostalgia purposes. (last saturn game ever made)

Yeah I've got that on my "to get" list, I've only seen one screenshot of it but still thought it looked good.

I'm having a hard time deciding and would like some input. Should I get the US or Japanese version of these Saturn games?
Marvel Super Heroes
Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter
Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 1&2
X-Men Children Of The Atom
X-Men VS Street Fighter

As far as I know MSH v SF and X v SF are both Jap only. I'd always go Jap cause in most cases the artwork is better.

FYI, the following two Saturn games were never released in the US, so the japanese versions are your ONLY option:

- Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter
- X-Men VS Street Fighter

Sorry, can't help you with the other games ...

EDIT: I almost forgot, Juggernaught is selectable via code in the japanese version of X-Men: Children of the Atom, but it was taken out in the american version AFAIR.

IMO, 2D fighter ports are better on the Saturn than on the PlayStation (and, in general, 3D ports were usually handled better on the PS). Of all the 2D fighters released to both consoles that I've been able to try both versions of, I've never seen one that wasn't better on the Saturn.

This should be a more-or-less complete list of the fighting games released for Saturn in Japan:
