Any help will be most apreciated.

1. I have heard that the lower serial systems have better video output. Is this true? Is this auction one of them?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8175192349&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

2. What exactly is the perpose of the bios ver 2.0? Any other games that need a bios other than SS5? Why is the blood and bouncing breasts censored?

3. How can I tell a good system from a photo? Some of the ones I see look horibly greasy.

4. Any advice you can give me when hunting?

5. Do aes support rgb output?

Thanks

DD

1. Thats not what I'd call a LOW serial, but it shoud be low enough to have a good RGB out.... REgardless of what serial you get, you should have it RGB Bypass modded. At that point, all of the Systems will have the same video output.

2. Just get one, it's worth every penny. Allows you to change the region (US/JP/Euro) and the System mode (Home/Arcade). Also allows cheats, memory card management and hardware/software tests.

3. Look for scratches.... How they look depends onthe lighting conditons more than anything else.

4. Try Euro NG.com members first... Ebay has all sorts of wierdo sellers.

5. See answer #1

Ok cool. What about this auction here. Does it seem worthy? What about the serial?

You're better off buying one in the UK otherwise it'll cost a fortune to ship it over from the States or Japan. They're always popping up on ebay here anyway. For example:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=72503&item=8176668544&rd=1

That looks like a nice console although the seller's feedback aint great.

Alternatively you could get one from DJR Consoles . His consoles are very reasonable and he's very reliable, although he hasn't got any in at the moment looking at his website.

You could get one that's already modded but it'll cost you loads more and will be harder to win because so many people are bidding on them. Otherwise you can buy an unmodded console and get someone to mod it for you, or if you know a bit about electronics and how to solder or are willing to put the time and money in to learn and buy the basic kit, you can do the mods yourself. That's what I did. I knew nothing about electronics when I bought my neo and now I've almost finished modding it with Unibios, power led, stereo sound and rgb bypass.

No use in getting an expensive video mod as the only one you need is an RGB mod.

Yeah good point norton. No point getting a console modded with s-video or composite because all you'll need is rgb video seeing as you live in the uk.
