Stereo mono switch

I know that the mvs uses pin 10 for right sound and pin L for left sound. Standard jamma uses the same pin 10 for mono and pin L for -, if you are using a supergun you ignore pin L and get a ground like the mvs elsewhere on the connector. So could I just get mono sound on a supergun that has a mvs stereo setup and just plug in the right jack for mono and use an adaptor for duel mono or will this for some reason damage anything? I have one supergun I made with an mvs setup and I have been using an old one I purchased for my jamma boards. I used a jrok and a line level converter on the one I made, which is much better quality then my old one and want to use it to play all my boards. I am under the impression that I need a stereo mono switch. I don't know if I need one for a supergun or if the switch is just for cabs and superguns using speakers, then the wiring is different because of having to use the jamma -. This has me very confused and so does the wiring for a stereo mono switch, so I hope I dont have to make one. Please help.

With most jamma boards the speaker - is not ground, the audio output stage is run in "bootstrap" mode which improves efficiency. Take a look at the mono and stereo config of a typical audio output stage.
edit: notice on the bottom rhs of the diag below the output is rated at 17.5W BTL mono (bootlaced) compared to 5.5 + 5.5 =11W for stereo.

MKL has posted a 2 way, 4 pole switch circuit for this

Thank you for your reply, but I just want to know if it is safe to play a mono board on a mvs stereo supergun setup like I described. Will this damage anything.
