I worked at best buy for a month ( I know not the same thing but they are close) and the discount is what the company pays + 5%. Last time I checked you would only get a few pennies of games and systems. Now the TV's....there is were the discount was, the big item stuff.
Like I said not the same store but it may give you an idea.

Well my room mate works at Best Buy (which is across the street, were going to have gang wars) so I know the discounts they get are decent.

My friend worked at the Circuit City road shop. It wasnt a set discount. It depended on brand and such. Computers they did not get discounts. The good alpine head Units always went for 499.00 and with the discount it would be 280.00 pretty good. Another scam was buying the warranty and every year saying the radio broke and upgrading to the newest model for free. I know MTX they got a super discount but I always got alpine. I'm not sure about a lot of other stuff as most of the stuff I would get with his discount was car audio.

if you're just working there for the discount, don't. the shit you'll put up with won't be worth it, and the people i know only get that 35% on big money items, like TV's and stereos, i think they get like 5% off games and movies under 100. and after you buy your TV, or whatever else you needed a discount for, you'll get very sick of working there.
