Shout out for your team here.

I dunno about my team's chances this year...I root for my hometown Arizona Wildcats. They can beat anyone when they play well, but they've been stopped too many times this year when Salim Stoudamire goes cold from behind the arc.
If they remain one-dimensional like that, they'll bounce out quickly. On the plus side, they've pulled out a lot of close games this year, and they're good at winning a tight game on a last second shot (like last Saturday's game VS. ASU). I just hope they make a nice run.

It was also great to see Lute Olson break John Wooden's record for PAC-10 victories. That's definitely some hallowed ground.

GO CATS!

I don't follow college basketball much but I do like these prospects for the NBA draft (if they declare)

-Marvin Williams
-Andrew Bogut
-Hakim Warrick
-Chris Taft
-Chris Paul
-John Gilchrist
-Jarrett Jack
-Raymond Felton

EDIT: Loopz, what kind of player (post or perimeter, etc.) is Channing Frye? Do you think his game will translate well to the Pros?

Judging by this year's performance (and numbers of coaches) I don't think we'll be seeing much of Bobak in this thread. :D

I'm a big Arizona State fan but we're most likely not going to the dance this year. Still, when it comes to the tournament, I'll be rooting for Arizona ;)

Channing can post up OK...the beauty of his game is his very nice, consistent 15-ft shot. He's got a nice touch from that far away and that's pretty rare for a big man.
He may have to add some bulk to consistently hang inside in the league, but that outside shot will keep him around, at least as a solid bench player. He started almost every game for four whole years while here, so he's in great condition too.
Probably translates into an early 2nd round pick, maybe higher if he has a good tourney run.

Dick Vitale sucks Duke's cock like a starving crack whore. I really don't understand his popularity.

You should know better than to make any more predictions El_Duque.
Illinois might have gotten knocked off by Ohio State, but they're still a hell of a team.
I'm not saying they'll win it all, but I wouldn't pick against 'em either.

okay okay so picking against the red sox and USC was a bad idea.

meh i thought that last game against ohio state was more of a giveaway than a pure loss. im definiitly putting them as high as a final four team.

is it true that louisville is going to the big east next year?

while i'd like to see someone other than unc, duke or wake win the acc just to get another team in the ncaa tourney, losing to clemson is unacceptable, period.

i'd drop them from a #1 seed for this loss, no questions asked.

Funk the TarHeels. If Arizona wins the PAC-10 tourney, we should be a #1 seed.

We have a number 1 seed locked up by winning the regular season championship. Us and FatGuy's squad are the only locks for number 1 seeds, the other two spots are up for grabs.
