MVS cart colors

Hi all

about a week or 2 ago I bought ROTD from a bud and the first thing i noticed when i opened the box was how the cart had one of the most ugliest colors I have ever seen. I was just wondering what other cart colors there are out there. Not that they effect the fun of that game or anything I was wondering out of curiosity(sp?) I want to know if there is anything uglier then that green blue thing.

I assume you're talking about the MVS carts. The colors maybe fugly but they're built like a brick (well atleast tougher than the AES shells...) :eek_2:

so is it possible to build a house if i get enuff mvs carts?
that would be sweet until like some one steals a cart or three .

Just out of interest what games come in what colours, anyone know?

I have a various carts, some are clear and others mostly black.

Were there many mvs carts made in different colours?

Most of the earlier MVS releases were clear. They also had a serial number and warranty sticker that came with the kit so not all of the carts have them.

I believe Kof '98 is the only blue MVS cart.

Most are black or the teal color.

White carts with "SNKG" embossed on the back were rental carts.

why would you want to??

you should be working on building an MVS-HSE unit, the MVS unit that is also a house, then you could fill your wall with mvs cart without cementing them together.

Meh, MVS carts look like shit anyway - they were never meant to be displayed. Painting it forest green isn't really gonna make it pretty. Painting it Dinkins brown though ... that's another story entirely. :drool_2:

My Rage of the Dragons is bright canary yellow...never seen a blue one. I have seen pics of green ones, like japanese CPS 2 B board color green.

Every copy of ROTD I've seen is teal. Are you certain yours is yellow? If so you might check to see if it's a boot.

You can get Clear, Black, White, Teal, Green, Blue, Yellow, Smoke, Clear-Blue, Clear-Green Clear-Red, Clear-Purple and SNKG to my knowledge. I know of solid red carts too, but never seen one.

And I'm sure I started a thread like this a while back?

I saw a solid red shock troopers MVS on ebay about a year back

it had an official looking label too, but it was red and white

probably still a boot.

My rage is definitely very yellow and definitely not a bootleg. It has real SNKP boards in it, and all mask roms, no eproms, and they are all numbered correctly. I know I got it on ebay, i believe from Yaton, but possibly someone else on ebay though.
