I have an old DC joystick, the official one, I was wondering if it would be possible to pull the 8-way joystick that's in it, and replace it with a 360 joystick? I like the one that's in there, I just cant play KOF games for shit with it. If it's possible, can someone gimme an idea where I need to go to get another joystick to work with it?

Another thought, could I use a dremel on the bottom piece of the joystick and round it out to make it more of a 360 joystick? Has anyone even thought of trying this?

Thanks

You would have to get a Sanwa Flash Stick. Flash sticks are the same as 360 Joystick, but it's small enough to fit into an Official Dreamcast Stick. You can find Sanwa Sticks at Himuragames.com. You will have to do some modding to your Dreamcast stick case, but it's been done. A 360 U.S. stick is too large for a Dreamcast stick case.

Interesting...

Bit too tired right now to start searching, but could the DC stick still be used with the DC after this mod??

Cheers

Most definately. All you are doing is swapping parts. Your not manipulating the PCB or anything. If or when you decide to swap the Joystick, go the the Technical Support Threads at Shoryuken.com. There are good Sanwa threads and you should be able to find a tutoral on how to swap the Joystick. Also I believe the forums at Himuragames.com (<--where to buy stick) will be able to help you to swap the stick. Keep in mind there probably will be some soldering invloved.
