Thats right what do you use to play?
Post the pad / stick you use and why.
Also if you use a converter for the item.
Lets see some pics and reviews on the best way you have found to play 2-D fighters on XBOX Live.

Cox Cable 4 meg down 512k Up

Dlink DI-524 wireless 4 port router with xbox hardlined and set to DMZ on static IP

Pelican Real Arcade Universal with Happ Super Stick and Competition Pro buttons.

Sf3 is pretty lag free like this.

CVS2 I still get some lag.

Overall though it works great.

...I need a stick for SF:AC somthin' fierce. But I'm too cheap so I'll deal.

Better yet, I think I'll call on Ryu1972 to custom built me one.

will for a while I only played SVC CHAOS and use a converter and my CHAOS stick. But that stick is only good for that game just about.

Can't use a converter for SFAE ....those capcom pricks.

So I'm stuck with using the X-Pad, but I've gotten used to it.

I only play 3S, unless I get a request from someone on CVS2 or SF2.

For SF:AC and cap. vs snk2 by the way.

Road Runner 5 mbit d/l and 512 kbit u/l.

NETGEAR router (my connection is wired but it's a wireless router).

Right now I'm just using the S controller, but I've got a couple of magic box converters and a couple of Real Arcade Pro special additions on the way.

I've been sort of avoiding live because I suck incredibly hard with the S controller, but I'll probably give another try when the converters come in, as I'm much better with a PS 2 pad (but still not nearly as good as with a good stick).

The Japanese controller S "not US" surprisingly works very well for fighters. I used it to play GGXX Reload before my piece of shit Xbox died. :very_ang:

roadrunner cable straight from the modem to xbox (too lazy to buy a router)

sf anniversary stick.

i can now capture matches on live to my pc and host them online for anyone who is interested. no audio at the moment, but that can be remedied with a quick trip to radio shack.

still have yet to play anyone other than magician from ng.com, but then again i haven't been on much lately. this will change after i ween myself off of WoW like the rest of the addicts.

I think you're much better off that way. I get some pretty substantial lag with my router (wired connection). I really don't like online fighting games at all - partially because I get my ass pwn3d at sf3, and partially because the response delay really changes the game in a fundamental way. Reversals and other moves that require quick reaction are pretty much nullified by even the slightest online lag.

Anyway, I finally got my magic box in so things are at least a little bit better with the PS 2 pad (which still sucks, but is much better than the S pad). I'm still waiting on my RAP special edition/addition sticks ... :drool_2:

Is that homemade or a mass systems super nova stick with new art?

It's not a mas systems stick - someone from the shoryuken.com forums made it for him, I believe. I'm sure he'd tell you if you PM him or something.

Don't have Live yet, but I know I WILL use the original S-pad ^

And I know you WILL get own3d. :kekeke:

But seriously man, it's really tough to pull off combos and even the more complicated special moves consistently with that thing. Only the GC pad sucks worse for fighters.
