Xbox live 2d fighter question

I recently asked a local clerk at our local video game store if he had xbox live and if he had played sf3 on it and how was the latency?He told me ya he had it and that it was good but he was telling me in sf3 its near impossable to parry.

I was wonderin what everyone here thought...has anyone played cvs2? how is just defence in cvs2 online? im asking because i just got an xbox and i love 2d fighters and im very excited that kof 02/03 will be online. :buttrock:

so to make it simple
how does capcom vs snk 2,street fighter 3 third strike and svc chaos play online via xbox live?

As far as lag goes, I've had the best luck with CvS2. It seems to be spot on most of the time with the least lag. SFAC is right behind it with a good connection (the lag isn't that bad enough to stop you from parrying). If you have a good connection, you'll get some good matches. Then there's SVC. It's been the most laggy, out of the three, for me at least. It's not a terrible difference, but that mixed with the fact that it's broken as hell makes the fun factor go way down for me.

So in the end, pick up SFAC. It's well worth the money.

I've had more lag with CvS2 than SFAC, and I've played twice as many SF3 matches.

For me as far as lag goes, it's:

SFAC > CvS2 > SvC > GGX#Reload

I'll second that, SF3 isn't as prone to lag spikes like CVS2

Do you guys have any tips to cut down on the lag. I've played some CvS2 and GGXX:#R online, but I've become so frustrated with the lag. I notice in CvS2 if you play the training stage you get the least amount of lag, does the stage select make that much of a difference?

if u want lag, play that SVC CHAOS p.o.s. U just gotta parry a split second earlier on XBL.

well i just got xbox live and i have halo 2,counter strike, and street fighter ac.
when i first tryed to play sf3 the lag was horrible but the second game rocked and i havent had huge lag ever since the first match. but i must say its not as bad as the guy at the store said......i can still parry......i cant wait to get cvs2 :buttrock:
