Auction Game Sales is having an auction again this time at the Knoxville Convention Center (we'll see how that goes)

Anyone else going to go?

I'll be there taking as many pics as I can before they tell me to stop.

Yeah, please do take pics. It's always awesome to see pics of all those cabs they have up for auction. :buttrock:

I remember that website I always hoped they would have one in Nashville so I wouldn't have to go so damn far. I might try one in the future if I get the chance. Do you know of any that happen in the summer with some other auctioner? Then I will be only 40 miles away and wouldn't mind going.

I'll be hitting the Winston-Salem auction in early April. See if you can snap a few nice pics for us, lithy.

Assuming I can get my roommate to make the trip up there with me, I'll try and get some pics. I did go to the one in November though, and it was pretty damn good. They had 4-5 Neo Geo cabinets, and at least three of them were original if I remember correctly.

Damn, I wish they had these here in Ontario, I always wanted a 4-6 Slot Original Neo Geo Cabinet. :(

How much do those go for at these auctions?

I bought my dedicated 4 slot for 240 bid (290 after tax and fees) a friend got another dedicated 4 slot for 250 bid (300 after tax and fees)

I watched a dedicated 6 slot go for 200 so that'd be about 240 after extra shit, best deal I've seen, too bad they don't fit through regular doors.

I've seen plenty of 2 slots go for 200 or so

Oddly enough the most expensive Neo I ever saw was a 2 slot mini sold for 550

*All prices in USD for the north of the border friends

Holy shit those are AWESOME PRICES!

God, how much do you think crating and shipping a 6 Slot to Canada would from there? Might be worth it if the shipping is $300 US.

Just got back from dropping my cab off to sell, after spending an hour in the wrong convention center. Why are there two places called Knoxville Convention Center  oh well at least I wasted time today not tomorrow morning

Anyway, just from quick glances I saw a dedicated 2 slot, a 1 or 2 slot that had been converted to Turkey Hunter :conf: and that's it for Neo's. Anyway I'll be there tomorrow like 10am-whenever I'm done hopefully getting a good bit of money for my cab

As for Dark Andy, if I had any experience in crating and shipping cabs I'd help you out but I just don't have the know how or time :(

Last time I went to one of their auctions in Maryland, I came home with a 6-slot cab for $240 out-the-door. It was one of the last to be auctioned (1045 P.M.) and most people were gone by then.

The longer you are willing to stick it out towards the end of the night, the better. Most people are there for the Pac-mans and Galagas. There are usually a lot of Neo conversion cabs. Hopefully some real Neos will be there at the end of the auction.

Is it hard to win stuff at these auctions, should I expect allot of bidders?

It depends on what kind of cab you're after. Mine was a pretty nice 6-slot, but I had to pay $575 to get it, and that was before taxes. It was a little scary, because I had rented a truck and everything with the hopes of getting a nice cab. There aren't really too many guys there that are interested in Neo cabs, but the ones that are there are usually pretty persistent.

I use to see Neo-Geo cabs all over North Carolina back in the early 90's. Those things were as common as Coke and Pepsi Machines back in the day, every supermarket, restaurant, gas station had one. Many local Arcade vendors probably would love to get rid of them.

I only really made notes and pics of the Neo's if you have other questions please ask, there wasn't a whole lot of interesting stuff. There were two dedicated Neo cabs that had been converted to a Deer Hunter and Police Trainer which sold for 750 and 650 respectively

I bought a box of boards that I'll probably look for help identifying in the next couple days for 10 bucks. a few 1981 Nintendo boards, an SNK board, and 2 Konami baords, then some other ones that i can't find names for.

They will be back to San Jose in June.
I will try to attend one, I'm interested in one of those Samurai Spirits Dedicated
