I finally finished my Neo cocktail cabinet the other day. It turned out really nice, a lot better than I thought I could do. It was definitely a pain in the ass to build. It was built from scratch; it's NOT a converted cocktail cab nor did I use someone elses idea or drawings. I thought of everything as I went, even the speaker grill was custom made from a piece of metal. I want to post some pics for everyone to see, but I have no clue. Could someone post them for me or tell me how to do it myself? I would like to have the pic as a permanent photo under all of my postings (very proud!). Anyway, below is a laundry list of materials I used to complete this thing.

- 4 sheets of MDF 2'x4' wood
- 16 metal shelf brackets
- 1 sheet of black formica
- 3 cans of formica adhesive
- over 200 3/4" screws
- 15' roll of red t-molding
- 4 casters
- various metal brackets
- 24" x 33" piece of 1/4" glass
- 6 custom made glass brackets
- 25" monitor (paid $25 at auction)
- 25" monitor bezel
- 6' expanded angle iron (to mount monitor)
- 2 Neo Geo decals
- control panel overlay
- 8' piece of aluminum angle (for bottom edging)
- 24" piano hinge
- jamma harness
- MV1-FZ
- 2 Happs controllers
- 10 arcade buttons
- Power supply, etc.
- finally...my insanity and love for the NEO GEO!

(Note: all external metal items were powdercoated wrinkle black)

WOW

That's some fine work there. You did one hell of a job on that. It reminds me of the two player Joust Cocktail Table that's VERY rare. If I had an ounce of talent I think I'd turn my Two Slotter into a Cocktail Table too. I always loved them as a kid.

Yea, that is a nice shot. :D Only thing would change would be to have painted the sides that have the Neo Geo stickers on them red before putting the stickers on, but that is just an opinion... beautiful work, NEgO MANIAC. :D

It doesn't look like it would be comfortable to play that for long periods of time. Like 10 minutes for example.
