Do not allow links to unfinished auctions outside market forums

I'm tired of threads pointing out links to auctions that are going on, with some questions about them or just "l@@k at th3 c00l & l33t item I just found!!", specially in General Discussion. I think it is unfair (although most of the times unintentional) advertising of said auctions, and also it can piss other people who had already found it and wanted to bid. It also brings a lot of drama about prices, price guides, sellers, etc. etc.

So I would not allow to post links until the auctions are finished. Of course it is OK to advertise your own auction in the market forums.

If I had a time machine I'd travel six hours into the past and kidnap you before you could finish your post. I'd submit the unfinished portion and everyone would be all like "Oh my God! What happened to Amano Jacu?!?" I'd also visit 1845 Texas and fuck a cowboy.

links to lemonparty are still ok. Right?

I think only links to lemonparty should be allowed outside of the selling forums.

and you need griff's baseball bat of the future just incase one of the mods come after you:

But apart from that, I hate it when people advertise auctions :blow_top:

I can see both sides of this. Some times a "Look at this sweet lot" can bring more bidders into an auction that only had one person looking at it, so I can see someone getting mad over that.

On the other hand, sometimes people have legitimate questions about active auctions that arn't hyping the auction related (IE does such and such's label really look like that or is it a bootleg) and you cant very well put these in the market forums because they don't belong there.

Maybe the rule should be that there should be a legitimate question in regards to the object ("Isn't that a cool Fill in the blank?) wouldn't cut it.
