Prepping for 02/03 on XBL...

...I just got the PS2 version. I have to say that everyone is going to hate Geese online in 02. He is the same monster from Chaos, same max mode combos, same b&b ending w/ raging storm :multi_co:

Anyways, who else is planning on picking this up for XBL, and which one will you play more(not a pun)?

Not to derail you much, but have you had any luck using Goenitz? I can't seem to pull off his PS2 version DMs. Which is odd, because I can pull them off just fine on the same stick with Chaos.

If ya ask me, Goenitz sucks in 02 then compared to CHAOS.

Watch out for both Leona on 02 & 03 and Adelheid!

No joke about Goenitz. I can tell he's nerfed, but I wanted to see if other people were having controll problems.

Adelheid doesn't seem as bad as people make him out to be. He's no biggie. And there's no using Leona for me in '03. No Happy Death DM and no backroll boomerang=no happy player.

ur a pathetic, the bonerang of hers blows. While Adelheid might be broken I dont know, he has easy commands, good combos, does huge damage and is fast as fuck/ But both me and my cam347 had some trouble with the controls in 02.

Honestly I've been having trouble with everyone's moves. Sometimes I'd rather play 03 just so I can -standing C- towards B XX Super. No matter what I can't verify this with Robert in 02, I have to commit to the super- hit or blocked :blow_top:

As for Goenitz- I can pull off his moves with the same luck as everyone else's. Keep in mind his throw super is the only one he has access to w/o max mode.
He has been nerfed since Chaos, when playing him it was always easy to land an Exceed on wake up but the invincibility frames are a little different in 02. Just play the tornado game, and use his teleport for super throw setups(they seem to be a lot more effective in 02). Also his jumping D is a great tool, you can use it immediately after jumping and it stays out long enough to still hit on the way down....uhh, sorry you probably didn't need Goenitz strats.
I enjoyed using him in Chaos as well. :buttrock:

Thanks, that's probably what I've missed. I could almost swear that his qcfX2+P move wasn't an exceed though. Oh well. Guess I'll have to skip the cheese and learn a different way of playing.

Actually, that boomarang move isn't in '02, either. In fact, it's not in '01, 2000, or '99...I think the last time she had it was '98. It pains me to agree with G-product and say that I thought that move kind of sucked also, so I won't say that. Although, I am a fan of Ultra Seven...

I know, u see the move comin' from a mile away even if hits the 2nd hit has a slim chance of hittin again plus she has terrible recovery from it but I think she had it in '99.

I know it's missing through 99-03, but at least she had the Happy Death. It kinda made up for the boomerang being gone. But now that she has neither, I just don't enjoy using Leona anymore.

I think after about a week everyone will only be playing kof 2k2 online and kof 2k3 will be empty. In the japanese arcades kof 2k2 started coming back 2 months after 2k3s release.

2k2 is just such a better 2 player game. Plus shermie......

I have only played 2k3 a few times and I am not that impressed. I like that Tizok and Gato made it,Kim has some of his moves back,but other than that I dont care for it much. 2k2 will be the bomb though.

I <3 2k2 as much as anyone and that's probably where most of my time will go as well, but 2k3 is no slouch.

I love how fast and fun it is. Tag combo's are also swank.

Tizok is damn awesome. But Shermie is way more fun to play. She has so many links into thows. And her big boobs.

I just hope there isn't too much lag. SVC is ridiculous, play the thing in damn slow motion! I hope a lot of people from Neo-geo.com get on 2k2, Im getting stoked.

Leona's Happy Death, or Happy Jah depending on which platform you're playing on, is her qcfx2+P (Or qcfx2+B on some pocket color titles like Gal's Fighters) after '98. She'll jump in the air and grab her apponent much like Heidern's Storm Bringer, except that her expression becomes wild and her health doesn't increase like Heidern's would.
