I'm looking for a replacement battery for my MVS4 slot.

I read up on leaving my system on for a long time [I left it on for 20+ hours] and it held a charge for like 2 days, then lost it again.

I'm really thinking I new a new battery. What are the options for replacing it?

It depends on the board: the multi-slots use a 3.6v ni-cd battery while most 1-slots use a 3v lithium battery. First type can be replaced by this:

http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/st...toreId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=120813
(not sure if 4- and 6-slots have enough clearance between the boards to allow the mounting of that battery)

The second type can be replaced by this:
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/st...toreId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=132639
(good for MV-1B and 1C, other 1-slots require a horizontal-mount battery)

Is there a time limit on the change? The battery can only be out for an hour or something like that?

thanks for the info!!

Use a helper battery if you're worried about losing data.

not really worried about data, but more worried about messing up the game like on cps2 stuff. I just don't know much about what could go wrong.

CPS2 is a totally different case. MVS boards run just fine without battery.
