I just got Art of Fighting 3. Kick ass game.

I've got a question regarding the story as it pertains to the characters though. In the game intro, Ryo is shown with the relief of a dragon and the caption 'The Invincible Dragon,' Robert is shown with the relief of a dragon and the caption 'The Raging Tiger,' and in KOF manuals they are referred to as such as well....

So how come Ryo's moves are called 'Koh ken,' 'Koh Geki,' 'Koh Hoh,' whereas Robert's moves are called 'Ryuu Geki Ken,' 'Ryuu Jin Kyaku,' Ryuu Ga?' That's an exact reversal of their supposed nickname.

This has been discussed dozens of time. If you look closely, you will see that INSIDE Ryo's fireballs [in FFS at least] there's actually a tiger head design.

Basically, I think at SNK they changed their mind. Or made some kind of mistake. Or whatever.

SNK never got this right. They always flipflop on which guy (Ryo or Robert) is supposed to be the dragon, and which is supposed to be the tiger. They flipflopped again in AOF3.

Sorry, I did an advance search for this and couldn't turn up anything on this discussion. My bad.

Oh well, Art of Fighting is a kickass series, that's all that really matters in the end.

Maybe... Ryo's attacks are supposed to beat the Tiger, while Robert's attacks are supposed to beat the Dragon?

Art of fighting 3, one of the most underappreciated and overlooked games on the neo. :oh_no:

It makes about as much sense as the storyline as it intertwines with the other two big SNK series.. In the end you just accept that things are they way they are and SNK is not to be questioned!
