xbox live question

ok so if i go out and buy the kit, do i need a credit card to sign up? (cause dont you get some free time when you buy the kit?)

Yes, but it won't be billed until the year has elapsed. Same with the free 2 month card.

All I want xbox live for is SvsC and sfc.

But my xbox is modded...... I might have to get xbox live and rent a system tonight.....must destroy all with violent ken :mad:

I think Halo 2 has a lot to do with the recent modded Xboxes getting banned. I think you may be safe as long as you don't play Halo 2 (cause of the update that checks your hdd serial). If you get on, lemme know your tag and we'll play some laggy SvC or mix it up in SFAC.

is sfac laggy aswell? or just the shit port that is svc?

I've never had a stable connection in SvC. The game is very tight as it is, and any sort of lag makes it that much stricter on timing and such.

I have no lag at all in SFAC if I'm playing somebody domestically. In Europe, I can sometimes get a good connection, but that's a very small chance. I play JHendrix, Loopz, Kiun, Kunai, buttasuperb, Fatguy, gengiglove, and cam347 from the forums and don't get any lag, not even with SF3.

Yeah, depends. You can try it out. The most they do is ban your Xbox, not your XBL tag.
