Strats against chris's jCD/jD pressure game.

Are there any specific info's?? I seem to do best against him when I use him and do the same shit. My daimon's dfC to hcb B to dp A bug wont work 90% of the time, cause I end up trading hits in a bad way off the dfC.

dp's are to risky against jCD, even ryo's dp..

Any info?

Kensou's rdp+B may work, his qcf+K juggle starter with heavy autoguard or the 2nd part of his qcf,hcb+B DM... ...or what about Goro's timed hcf+A air-grab... oh, and as long as Chris is ascending for a jCD, it should be possible to also catch him with Ralf's charge d,u+P.

Good Chris players can be a pain in the ass... :)

Thats the problem though, it doesnt matter if I use Daimon. If I use him, all those high jCD's become shorthops and daimon's hcf A will get eaten, its also laggy if you miss it and you end up paying for it.

I need a method other then using chris against chris that isnt so high risk.

In all seriousness, his jump D is not a problem. It's just the cross up that poses the problem with that jump D. So when that situation comes, just block it correctly, or as he leaps run under him. That'll have you blocking anyway.

Chris' jump CD:

v slasher of course
Any air throw character. i.e. Beni, Athena, Mai, Clark, Leona, Yuri

The thing about Chris' jump CD is that it archs downward. So any move that goes horizontal, you can beat his jump CD when you jump higher than he does. You can even opt to super jump OVER Chris, when you feel he's going to jump. Only used for midscreen situations, so you end up on the otherside of Chris out of throwing range. Or shit, if it's 2002, just tech the throw attempt, or hop away from his command throw if Regular Chris.

So when Chris is going for a jump, you're already above him and he gets knocked down.

Alot of stuff I can't remember right now, maybe I'll post more later.

Brief summary:

Pick characters with AIR THROWS.

Those characters have dominating jump D's and C's to begin with. So even if the air throw doesn't work, attack from above him.

qcb A/C of Ryo also got autogaurd
standing CD of heidern at the right time would devastate
hcb B/D of heidern is great (counter)
Same about hcf B/D of Daimon


Or just use f+AB with any character and get to his back!

Hahah man, thats the thing though. If I even do daimons hcf A I get eaten.
Good ideas on the heidern and terry/kyo dp's also. I just want to be able to use any char against chris. I hate relying on specific chars for the job.

If you want ALL the ideas then I have many more. All are theoratical (they are nice ideas) since I have never thought jumping C/D of Chris as a threat to me well here they are:
From your posts I've got the assumption that you are playing 97 or 98 in that case qcb of Kyo is a counter move (outstanding if you have "timing")
Try another grab (with Clark). Try his dp just the time when Chris jumps (same with daimon)
Chin's qcf A/C is one of the best anti air move in 98. Try it. Its absolutely and 100% successful against all jumping attacks. Try out his dp too (not sure though).
If you are rapid at tapping use quick tapping of Ralf's C or A.
Even crouching C or Ryo and Kyo are anti air (if you are beaten at their dp) but remember that they are to be made when the opponent is landing after the mid air attack. If Chris does his attack not at full height but at landing then both you and Chris will be hit.
dp of Yuri with A is a fast anti air move.
And now the BEST anti air move in all KOFs. Guess what he's my fav player and he's one and only ................................JOE HIGASHI
His dp B/D is the BEST anti air move in all kof. Whether the opponent is starting to jump, in mid air or landing this two hit move is devastating. Its his priority is thing that matters. It will hit with 85% probability and take much of their health.
Its outstanding, try it and praise it. You will take half of Chris's health in just 4 such attacks.
