finally, "SPRING 2005" off one of the offical SEGA sites

ive played it way before you guys even heard of it, and trust me when i say, this game is wayyyyyyyy better than the x-box and gamecube vers. of PSO eps 1 and 2, plus...ep 4, which is coming out today for japanese ver. players like me (doh, i might have to wait for d/l'able ver. of ep4 around same release time as american version)

if you dont know what im talkin about, let me ONCE AGAIN explain:

PSOBB is a PC-only version of PSO eps 1 and 2 with more features such as teams (or clans or whatever) and an item bar, plus the impending release of episode 4 which will have a new array of enemies and weapons.

here is the offical site (if you know how to read japanese): http://psobb.jp

cant wait to see if any of ya will come and play ^__^ (cuz all this really is, is a set-up for the MMORPG: Phantasy Star Universe...which is still in development...but there is a trailer somewhere on the net...)

More Info

I'd like to buy this, but I think I'll just end up waiting for PSU, honestly.

I'm down with this game. I just hope I can find some regular people to play with. If I had a regular crew on PSO for Gamecube, I'd still be playing that.

By the way, I looked on Sega's site and didn't see this anywhere. Where did you see an official announcement about a US release date?

I'll definitely be on this bad boy.

Dunno...I'm a bit scared to jump on the WoW train. I am kind of an obsessive person to begin with, and playing a real MMORPG might destroy what little free time I have.
A 40-hr workweek and 11 credit hours of school may be too much to juggle with that kind of game. I liked PSO because you can dump hours and hours on it, or just play it in spurts and have fun. I'll have to see...I bought WoW but haven't installed it yet.

WoW is the same way brother. It actually awards you "bonus" experience for the time you're logged off, so that you can level up almost as efficiently as a player who is online grinding all the time. You can play for one hour, or eight. You need to get on my server.

I might get back into PSO...

Probably won't want to do another Humar though..

Ramar? Ramarl?

Hell...who am I kidding? I'll probably bring back the midget Humar with the purple 'fro.

If you're going to go Ranger, go RAcast. Tons of power at the higher levels, and the accuracy isn't too bad either. I played a RAcast from the original Dreamcast release all the way to Episode I and II on Gamecube, it's a great class.

Speaking of that, I started playing on the Gamecube again. I picked up I and II Plus for a measly $30. Even if I just play offline from time to time it was a bargain. I miss playing PSO with friends. No other online RPG, MMO or otherwise, has given me the same experience.

I'm definitely getting into BB when it surfaces here.

I can't stand the idea of being completely without techs, especially for high levels. (The Racast and Hucast etc get traps or something, correct?)

Like I said...the more I think about it the more likely I am to just create another Humar. Probably a Fonewm as a secondary character.

Droids can't use techs, but they make up for it with freeze/confuse/damage traps, and the ability to see hidden traps around the level. That, and they heal HP standing still, and that's not too shabby.

I will definitely get this game when it comes out... I hope you don't have to buy a Hunter's License, though. I have bought the game many times, on the DC, Cube and XBox... but paying the expensive Hunter's License is a drag. I wish it was cheaper.

Sounds interesting but i perfer to finsh PSO on the GC insted.
I put so much time into it i don't see why i.... should change that.
Plus if the PC version has a slow ass leveling system 'agian forget it :annoyed:

When i played last my Ramarl //FioGermi was at a level of 163.
I take Ghostdog suggestion Eric takes a lot of work to use a Ramarl.
If you use a ranger use a Racast it has the "highest attack" power for the ranger class.

Nah, I was always fond of my Ramar in my DC days. Don't think I ever quite got it past V. Hard though. I started a Racast but could never quite get into it. After about 10 levels I gave up on it. I'm sure it remains on my VMU, along with whatever rares I had that my other characters couldn't use.

Ahh ok just a thought then.
I never like useing the Ramar due towards it's poor accuracy.

Here's what i think are the best, Rangers are in this order.
1.Racast
2.Ramarl
3.Racaseal
4.Ramar

Because the free version is Version 2. Blue Burst will have Episode II which features new levels, monsters an items, plus three new character types and a mess of quests. You get a lot of bang for the buck.

Too many RAcast filthy RECOBOXing bastards. HUcast forever, cuz you never get buggered by those gh3y poison lilys. g
Get a dark blue HUcast, give him a pointed face, add a Dragon slayer, and Voila! you have Knightmare from soul calibur. Infinitely cool.

+does anyone play the european PSO on Xbox?

Good to hear BB is finally coming to North America. I have the Japanese version but I found it a pain in the ass to get it up and running so I kind of gave up on it.
