Did NE1 buy Metal Slug 1 when it first came out?

.. Or did everybody get it later and wait for it to skyrocket to $1000?? I never even heard of Metal Slug until 1 year later. (Then again, I wasn't in to NEOGEO in '96)..

I spent $190 to have it made 4 years later...
I never heard of it untill 3 years after release.. Iw as into neo, but stopped in 95 and got back in in 2000.

I was lucky enough to get the game when it came out. I think i paid around $275 back then for it. I didn't even know what it was when I ordered it. I used to buy from a guy in NY that called me whenever he got new Neo games in his store. I bought it and was pleasantly surprised.

I bought it new Japannese one back in 96. I traded for a Japaneese Ninja Masters 4 months later. Duh !
