Anyone knows anything about joint accounts?

I need a joint account for me and my dad in Brazil, he is going to come here soon and I am going away instead. Does anyone know if both people need to sign the applications? Can I just open a joint account myself and include him in it without him needing to do anything. I was also thinking of doing it online, but want to see if anyone here knows about the procedures at all.

Usually both people need to sign and show ID.

What you could do if you wish to give your dad money from your account is get a second ATM card and give it to him.

But for full bank privileges it usually take both people being there in person.

Is there any alternative where I can securely put all the money somewhere so he can get it when he arrives?
