View Full Version : Is Shawn at the Neo Store............???
[EDITOR'S NOTE: "Where is Shawn???" That was the question during the time surrounding New Years 2005. This thread asked the members to guess the answer. The truth, as you will see, was totally unexpected. (thankfully, that answer is on page 2, not pages 3-15).]
What do you think.....?

Voted.
If he ran with RogerKorn's money, 2 things would be evident :
1. a HUGE sale would have been made at the Neostore, to rake in as much money as possible fast, and then
2. We wouldn't be talking here. The forums would be deleted instantly, so nobody would even know Rogerkorn was scammed.

Well lets look at the options
Hospital - probably not, last online on the 7th and that far exceeds the 42 days that this guy hasnt got his atomiswave
Dead - Highly doubt it as there would have been an announcement by his small staff
Done a runner with Rogerkorns money - Perhaps, maybe he is taking orders and only fullfilling what he can to clean out his stock.
On holiday - Doubt it... as 42 days far exceeds the last day he was on line
quit the neo store - doubt it.. still has alot of stock and wants to move the rest of it
Stuck money to his body with honey and set fire to himself - This is just rediculous

Only one real option:
Stuck money to his body with honey and set fire to himself.
Inevitably a plan of pure genius.

I have no idea what could be going on. But I do know that this is very unlike the NeoStore. Shawn or a member of his staff should address recent problems in the forum. I personally have spent better that 50% of the money that has gone to my AES, CD, and MVS at the Neostore. I have been a loyal supporter of ng.com and the NeoStore....along with many other members. We deserve better than this. It has been some time since the NeoStore added new items to its' inventory. For the most part it has been very dead......the 1 week sell of NOS AES carts did not go that well IMO....there is still a large amount of inventory.
BAH !
You're all wrong and confused. :oh_no:
Shawn's actually in Jail.

We aren't entering The Last Days of NG.Com are we? *I'm hoping Rot and the gang aren't going to have to turn the lights out sooner than expected. I'm not questioning Shawn's business practices as I've never had a bad deal with him... I am wondering just how committed he's going to be to upkeeping this community in the near future though.
If this place bites the dust, anyone have any idea where we'll all meet up? This is something that we should put some thought into because one day we'll log in the URL and this place just won't load and be a memory. It be a shame to not be able to partake and as well as read into "Teh Drama" and other informative things on a daily basis with some of you joes and the occassional jane.

What I find strange is that the administrator of the site/forum isnt posting (if only to reasure customers of the store that their orders are being processed) , whatever the circumstances, I hope he is well.
Just seems wierd to me, why are mods not commenting, you would think they would know whats going down ?

For years the NeoStore has managed to consistently provide exceptional service, until recently. There are a handful of outstanding orders from international customers that involved further credit card owner verification, a time consuming yet necessary process. These customers will receive a full refund for their overseas shipping and handling charges, and these orders will be shipped ASAP.
So why the slip you ask?
I’m still alive, the NeoStore is still open but it has been operating in low gear. Some of you may remember BonusKun, about how you wouldn’t hear from him for ages, that’s because he was off playing Phantasy Star Online. Well, I too have succumbed to a similar MMORPG with a land of never ending quests, best compared to the popular EverQuest AKA EverCrack.
The problem was that I’ve been playing World of Warcaft like mad. This is the most addictive video game I’ve been sucked into since I was twenty (Ultima Online). But now I’m a level 60 mage (the cap), and there are no new levels to gain. Playing in moderation is now within my control. I have woken up so to speak.
I realize I may have lost some respect from some of you business wise, but I’m hoping the gamer in you will allow me to earn it back. All current and new orders will now be shipped with the exceptional speed that many have been accustomed to. Any outstanding emails will be addressed ASAP.

I did beta test WoW, but was only for the 1 week open beta. I have been an avid player of all of Blizzard's releases starting with WarCraft II, only this one was the more time consuming than any of their other titles, even Diablo II. Played thousands of games of WC3 and WC3 Frozen Throne, but the game ended after each match.
WoW on the other hand is seemingly never-ending and does not get boring until you hit the level cap, just don’t start a new character I’m thinking, and hopefully they push back the expansion to 2006.

Same here, minus law school. I was asked to try Anarchy Online... for free actually for 1 year and I still won't do it. The way I see it, if I don't know what i'm missing, then there is nothing to miss. Sort of the opposite of "Better to have loved and lost, than never loved at all."
I'm going to hold off MMORPGs for as long as I can. I've never played one, so I have no real idea what I am missing. Fine by me. Besides, I'd feel guilty as all hell for using up so much personal time, to be burned up on etherspace, and I'd have to pay somebody to do it... again all for a type of entertainment of which I don't know anyway.

Obviously Shawn will resolve the situation... he's a level 60 mage for Christ's sake. Do you know how many tricks he has in his spell book? He could turn RogerKorn into a road apple if he so chooses.
Be that as it may don't tell this guy to shut the fuck up, he paid nearly a grand and had to wait over a month for his items. I know nothing about the "waiting for credit to clear" portion of the transaction as Shawn put it, so that may very well have been a factor... but I think the circumstances entitle this guy to his opinion (and the right to voice it in the forums.) Feedback, both positive and negative (when deserved), help keep a business healthy and customer-oriented. This guy should be allowed (and even encouraged) to speak his mind.

As I just explained to Mike (tonk) in chat that Rogerkorn has been spamming chat with the same shit evernight about this sale.
YES, I agree its allot of money and shit and he's waited a few weeks longer.
Put these things into perspective:
1.He ordered just before xmas
2.He cant speak or read english very well
Those 2 things made me think, first off 2 weeks of non postal systems over xmas due to holidaying employees.
Then I noticed that shawn did send him emails in the first part of the sale, Shawn obviously mentioned that international credit card transactions need verification before he ships out the goods which I understand because you wouldnt want to ship to any fraudlant members. So after all this was mentioned he proberly didnt understand the emails.
If he just posted the emails we would of explained what they said to him.
You guys think im a bad person, but fact of the matter is I tried to help this guy from day one, I started a thread asking for Shawn to retify the situation.
Then a few things got me thinking.
He orderded from the Neo Store Mid December 2004
so Minus 2 weeks the postal service was non existant,
Minus the Verification process 1 week,
overall this only makes it like 1 week of actual waiting.
In the end I knew shawn would pull through, ive purchased 3-4 packages from shawn all via paypal but got them quick due to no credit verification needed.
anyway heres the thread I started for him right at the begining:

Be that as it may don't tell this guy to shut the fuck up, he paid nearly a grand and had to wait over a month for his items. I know nothing about the "waiting for credit to clear" portion of the transaction as Shawn put it, so that may very well have been a factor... but I think the circumstances entitle this guy to his opinion (and the right to voice it in the forums.) Feedback, both positive and negative (when deserved), help keep a business healthy and customer-oriented. This guy should be allowed (and even encouraged) to speak his mind.
I guess 900 dollars is nothing for Snake-Eyes, he live in a another world !
Anyways i m glad all of the problems seem resolved !
One thing, i find the WoW excuse little strange, myself i doesnt believe someone can be addicted like that !

I'm glad things are back to normal :). I'll tell my friend David from Barcelona (actually he is from the neighbour city of Badalona) he can expect you to contact him about his purchase of a KoF Neowave using his store credit, we all want to play that game :drool_2:

The excuse "I was wanking my dick over WoW" is not valid, if you run an online company. Is Shawn admitting this is only a "fan pastime"? Taking that into account, how could you order from someone like this, who may get easily distracted by something else and lose the time to answer your email or send something out.
Saying your dog ate the piece of paper your server info was on, would have been more believeable than world of warcraft.....

International credit verification takes a max of 3 days(I use to work as management trainee for Citibank). I undertstand why the guy is upset, the order was placed at around December 15 and anyone for that matter would feel that way.
I do understand Shawn as there were a number of times I was hooked up in some PC game like WC Frozen Thrown that I would literally forget my work. Now this game called Battle for Middle Earth has taken so much and maybe too much of my time.
@Shawn
1. Don't fall for the "another hour...one more level...syndrome", in the end they don't really work ;) I know you know that already.
2. Sent you an e-mail regarding AOF 3 last Jan 7 and still waiting for a reply

You know what, I have'nt had that feeling for 5 years, games just dont do that to me anymore. :(
Wow... an answer no one probably expected, but not one that's completely unexpected.
I've written two legal papers on MMORPGs, they're unbelievably addicting... or so I've read. I too am too afraid of getting involved for fear of crashing and burning my final semester of law school. ...and I didn't just spend 3 years in MN for nuthin'!
Man I shit you not, it gets bad. When I finally put pso down I'd lost 3 months+ of my life and didnt realize it. I was up nearly all freaking night playing that game.
Man I have almost all rares, so thats what left me bored, the fact there was nothing left besides items I could only get online, to whit I wouldnt play online for fear of hacking.
For the record I have 8 chars in pso, 2 of which are past level 140, and two others are in the 100's plus another 4 chars. 7 out of 8 are in ult.
MMORPG'S are very bad things to get into, because they DO GET COMPARABLE TO DRUGS. I mean this, and it gets bad on your eyes.
Moderation is the key, I put PSO down for a while and when I bought plus for those offline extra's I began to realize how insane it had become.
Put it down before it puts you down.

Hmm..
That "lost in another world" feeling came only with the following games:
1. Castlevania SOTN
2. Dracula X Chi no Rondo
3. Warcaft II and III (This one nearly cost me a months salary)
4. Battle for Middle Earth.
Perhaps a change of genere would help?
Btw, I would be trying out World of Warcraft and Mu-online soon.

Shawn's reasons are believable and I think the right term for any customer would be, is the reason acceptable?
"Sorry your order was delayed cuz I was lost in the World of Warcaft"

Its really unacceptable to continue to take orders while not shipping nor informing the public of your absence.
The only thing I can say for anyone is reverse your roles....You sent out $900 to another party and they just refuse to answer you e-mails because "I was playing an RPG". Do you laugh at their answer and forgive them or do you seriously get mad?
I for one am not personally against Shawn, but this is a super bad business practice. Other members mentioned, Buyrite and Kid Apex gets shit on because they dont communicate nor ship within a reasonable amount of time. And most of the transactions between those parties are under $150.

Exactly! I am certainly not saying that any of it is acceptable, but you have to give the man credit for spending 4 years behind a keyboard, working relentlessly to offer flawless customer service to the Neo-Geo community. All work and no play can make Jack a dull boy as they say.
He (Shawn) found an outlet to vent his boredom and it consumed more time than expected; the man is only human after all.

Central Time
Azgalor = SERVER/REALM
Alliance, human mage Arcane/Fire talent specs
Snap = CHARACTER NAME
300 enchanter / 300 tailor, one the main suppliers for the 16-slot [Mooncloth bag]’s.
50g away from “epic” mount, going with the white stallion.
Time played: too embarrassed to tell
You sound like you play. How about you?
A regular “enchanting” customer on my server has offered $2,000 to purchase my account (login/password). It’s a serious offer, and as crazy as it sounds, I turned it down! Since I had no motivation to sell, I told him it would take $10,000 simply based on the time + fun factor. I’m considering revisiting his offer to buy but perhaps for a more agreeable price. Or, I can simply not start a new character and play this one veteran, semi-retired character at moderation.
Email and PM sent to Rogerkorn, terribly sorry about the delay. Free overseas shipping and freebies once your credit card ownership is verified. Of course at this point I have little doubt concerning the legitimacy of your order, considering your efforts. Will be all caught up during this weekend.

Mine:
Server = Skullcrusher (2nd on Bleeding Hollow)
Horde!!
Race = Tauren
Name = Slappy
Prof = Warrior
Lvl = 32 (Hey, some of us have to work!!!)
Prof = Mining / Blacksmithing
Guild = Wall of Voodoo (Allways Recruiting)
I believe you about the $2,000 offer, its hard to get a character to these levels. Personally, I am looking forward to the PvP when I reach 60. By then, they will probly put an expansion out.

That shit is crazy. It does make a little more sense to me than purchasing virtual property, however. That is, the difference is from almost nothing to almost something. Anyway, it seems like very little cash for the time invested, so I'm guessing that they've got this process automated. Running 20 games at a time might not be such a bad way to make a living ....

I've given Shawn a lot of shit over the years for what I perceived to be price gouging, etc. as far as the NeoStore is concerned. The few times I did buy from him, I got excellent service and speedy contact. This 'incident' involving WoW ain't really shit to complain about. The man could have made any excuse he wanted, and we would have accepted it at face value, but he actually came clean, and is just as much a Section-8 gamer as the rest of us. I find it kinda cool to be honest.
I'm sure he'll make it up to anyone whose deals twisted in the wind for a while.
Only the extreme usual drama queens will attempt to milk this as some kind of indictment of the NeoStore and Shawn.

hmm... The interesting thing about WoW is that you can actually be pretty godly with a small time investment, particularly if you know what you're doing. All levels facotred in, you can get a level every 5 hours on average, so about 300 hours to reach the max level. If the game is you primary mode of entertainment you could really hold a normal job and have a social life and still have time to hit the max level in a month or so... Not that any of this is relevant to this discussion so much, but I think it might be easier to pull yourself from this game considering how much of it is spent eventually just messing around at max level...

damn u must play 24/7. my bro got laid off around new years so hes been playing that game a helluva lot and hes upper 40's i think. i might try the game out (i like sc, wc3 and diablo some xlent games there) once i upgrade my puter but as it stands my entire hd isnt big enough to hold the game. :kekeke:
oh yeah also if you check out the forums there is some serious discontent over wow. even the fanbois have to stfu and take the verbal assult up the ass over this fiasco. worst mmorpg launch ever i would say. (and yeah i have followed many a launch).
last mmorpg i played was uo. used to play the fucking SHIT out of it in high school then through junior college then quit after it started to suck. few years later i joined ipy, a free shard that mimmicked the good years of uo. it finally shut down a couple months ago after a little over a year of service.
now i dont play shit except xbox. crimson skies

So... I'm wondering if I should be worried. I sent off $200+ to Shawn for a JPN KOF2002 AES, but... haven't heard anything yet. I know it's only Monday, but I've gotten used to the service from JGN and other online retailers where it's quick responses (especially when dealing with this amount of money).
Should I be worried? Or is the normal for the Neo Store? I've never ordered from there before, so...

Regardless if he is playing the game or not he is still taking peoples money and still has access to the net to track payments:
Ether through:
paypal
Online banking
Credit card banking
And whatever else banking he needs to do.
Playing a game is no reason to not answer emails and slack off... He is sitting in the chair anyways. Y not do this too.
If this continues he should change the policy to ships once a week or something.
But still anwser emails.. He is going to lose his customers and user base.
And JGN is going to step in and take up the slack.
To bad for him.. maybe he lost his lust for the neo.
Who knows really

Yeah, really. Frankly, it's sketchy. It's been sketchy for the past month, and that's why I haven't bought until now. He shows up, makes his appearance, tells us how much he loves that game, ships a couple orders... and now... is he playing again?
I don't want to sound like an impatient prick, but when you make as little money as I do, it's important to know that the cash that I have tied up in this is actually going to go somewhere and give me something.
It would be nice to get a reply email... I'm gonna send another tomorrow morning if I haven't got some sort of confirmation (outside of the one generated by the store) overnight.

Well, as an update... I got an automated email with my tracking number and stuff today, and it looks like Shawn is going to throw in a free KOF2k3 poster, so I can't complain. It certainly is a little troublesome in those times of just not knowing what's up, but... he made up for it, so I'm ok with it.

Hi guys,
Been lurking for a long time, but feel I have to surface right about now.
Not for the greatest of reasons, but here goes.
I also haven´t heard from Neostore. Sent them 2 emails last week with questions regarding my order.
Now...
Seeing that I´m obviously not alone in this *IS* somewhat comforting since Shawn seems like a good guy, but at the same time it´s absolutely crucial to e-business that you show signs of life, reply to peoples emails and generally act in a professional manner.´
If people don´t feel confident in doing transactions you might as well close up the shop.
Hope this gets sorted soon.
Cheers,
Michael

This is Shawn's account being hacked, isn't it?

As much as I´d like to partake in the cheerful banter, and guess when or even if Shawn returns from his happy gaming heaven, I still need to have some sort of confirmation that my emails aren´t just hitting a one-way street and waiting somewhere unattended to.
Neostore will hardly remain the "Net´s largest Neo Geo superstore" for long if they neglect the customers this way.
Just my bad luck I guess. First time I order from a site that I´ve spent considerable time scrutinizing and getting a good feel for, and the whole thing seems to collapse on itself.

I felt very, very much the same way. I couldn't understand how I had just sent someone $230, and it's sitting in his pocket (well, his PayPal account anyways), and I had nothing to show for it.
Then, the email came. I got a shipping confirmation (after sending about one email every morning asking for a status update) from seemingly an automated system with a tracking number. Plus he threw in something cool because of the delay, I guess.
Still... I mean... it's a strange way to run a business, that's for sure. This is my first experience with the NeoStore, and I'm getting into the MVS scene now, and there are a lot of kits I'd like to pick up, but honestly, I'm afraid. It's a shame Ryan at JGN doesn't have such a great stock of MVS, otherwise I'd pick up from him in a heartbeat.
It's just a shame that the Neo community doesn't have much of a choice when it comes to buying games from online retailers... and maybe Shawn is realizing that...

Well, I have ordered from the Neo-Store many times with out any problems. However, the last time I ordered was before Christmas and I understand that most of the problems occured after that.
I owned a video game store for a few years and really enjoyed it. Shawn may just need to decide if he wants to continue doing what he is doing. I think this site provides a nice outlet for Neo Geo gamers, so I hope he continues to allow it to exist.
However, after reading a lot of the post here, I am sometimes surprised that Shawn doesn't just nuke this site.

This is very true, I wonder it myself. I'm almost scared to put up posts like my last one, for fear of just this happening. But when it comes down to it, I'd say that 90% (and that estimate is completely without basis in fact whatsoever) of his sales come from patrons of this board, or former members who have abandoned posting for one reason or another. The abolition of this board, and subsequently, his store, would leave him with a ton of stock and a lot of pissed off people who may not wish to buy it from him.
It's a tricky situation, that's for sure.

I placed an order on Jan 27th. I received an email that stated that my order could not be shipped to the address I submitted (the address was not on file with my CC company); I'm away at college and wanted my stuff sent there. I emailed the NeoStore to correct the problem on Jan 29th. I have also sent a few other emails after the first one. I have NOT received a reply. All my faith in the NeoStore and Shawn has been lost. I DO NOT intend to order anything from the NeoStore again....unless drastic changes take place!

Most companies do this.
its for the sake in the unlikely event that someone stole your credit card and order lots of shiet and have it shipped to the thiefs address. then you report credit card missing and do a charge back, the neo store loose the money and the goods.
I'm sorry but this is a perfectly normal action to take

This is all really surprising. Last time I dealt with the Neo Store was in spring 2003, around the time Matrimelee was released. Everything was perfectly top-notch: lightning communication from Shawn, perfect shipping, etc.
It's a big surprise to see how many people are being ignored here, after all this drama. I'd hope that Shawn resolves things for all in this thread: after all, the major community of Neo Store buyers are all folks from this forum...

Vinh's original store stock and much of the existing stock was purchased from NGF.

Nothing quite compares to the shitty feeling you have once you look at the back of a Neo insert only to find the famous fucking NGF stamp. Especially when you've had the game a long time and thought it was mint all that time. Amazingly, the insert you are concerned about (KOF 95) is the same one I found an NGF stamp on about a year ago. Good luck with yours, hopefully you won't find any NGF shit on the insert.

Wow... seems that all the big tyme neo sellers have some form of a black mark on their record now. As far as Arcadeshock, I have only bought newer MVS kits from them and they have always been great transactions, never AES though. I hate to see things go as they have with the with the NeoStore as of late... :(

You nervous Nellys need to simmer the fuck down. His current service is clearly lackluster and I can surely sympathize, but I have no doubt that Shawn will come through after he "wakes up." Someone just needs to break his mouse and let him know that it's ridiculous to live his life as a mage, a wizard, or whatever the hell he is at the moment.
He's obviously not reading this thread so endless bitching and moaning is serving no purpose than to slowly bury this forum alive, you dumb fucks. Your effort would be better spent trying to get someone with his number (FTL perhaps) to give him a ring and try to talk some sense into him. To allow a video game addiction to bring down the greatest video game forum would be ridiculous.
I'd also like to know how many of these disgruntled international customers that keep surfacing use those IP's that can't be traced.

It's a history of business and business practices. Vinh was a respected seller and member of this site and on his way out gave the finger to many people here, including the owner. Just the way he went about it was very disrespectful and arrogant.
He's said a few very unflattering things about Shawn and others, yet bought his stock from NGF and tried to obscure it, if you will. Knowing full well what that reputation and source for carts was, he'd rather make a buck than be forthright.
Shawn did buy stock from NGF and we know how that turned out... it's a big reason why they were hated so much when they existed.
It's more than that.
Trieu came back under a "Friends" account to make a few comments.
THere's more to it than that, but Shawn's situation, while not excusable by any stretch, is different. It would behoove him to show back up here and straighten his problems out.

I'm wondering about this as well. I think there should be some sort of tally about the number of established members who have had lackluster service from the Neo Store. No offense to those who have been wronged, but the vast majority of them seem to have formed accounts within the past couple of months, and are virtually unknown to almost everyone on the forums.

I don't remember much drama when Treiu left, well at least around Treiu himself. I just remember he asked Shawn to delete his account here and that was the end of it.
Drama came out of #neo-geo when GA closed the room and moved it over to something affiliated with Treiu's site. I don't remember Treiu doing anything big when he left the site though, he simply said he wanted to make his own site as it was a project he wanted to do at the time.
There was a ton of Drama about the Neostore or something else stupid with the forums here at the time, but that was normal back then. And people yelling about "OMG I'M DEFECTING TO TREIU'S NEW SITE!" But I don't recall anything coming out of Treiu directly, I also don't remember him and Shawn going back and forth on teh Drama. Heck when Treiu broke the story about KOF on Atomiswave he mentioned calling Shawn first to tell him about it.
I do remember someone talking crap on Treiu and him coming back under a second account for some mini-drama, but nothing big.
As for his stock, I remember he was accused of it early on when his stored opened up, but he denied it. I never cared to believe it one way or another, but I would assume there's no way to prove it.
Meh, who cares. I know both Shawn and Treiu are excellent sellers I bought from before and would buy from again, reguardless of dealing with NGF or whatever.

I think what he's saying is that are all of these accounts that are cropping up and claiming to have not gotten goods real or part of a plot to defame the NeoStore. That said these accounts seem to all be from unique IP addresses and do match the country stated in the location. If you had a member that was a known quantity saying the service is bad you'd more easily believe that, but new random accounts have no track record and could be fake.
I'm not saying that's the case, but it is a small possibility. There is obviously some truth to what is said since Shawn himself admitted that the shipping to some international members is lackluster lately.
I called and left Shawn a message....

I think for the most part, people are not thinking that they are getting scammed, but rather, are just concerned with why orders aren't shipping as fast as they used to. It's safe to say that Shawn has become such an established member of the community that he wouldn't scam people, and I hope that users have the clarity to be able to see that, at the very least.
My worry did not stem from the thought that I may be scammed, but rather, from the lack of communication; something that Ryan has perhaps spoiled me with over at JGN.

I can agree with that... I guess when you pay a premium price for a product you also should be getting a premium service. Waiting more than 3 days for an e-mail or 50 days for a $900 package is unacceptable.
1 day: OK
2 days: acceptable
3 days: stepping on toes
5 days: getting bad
1 week: there better be some serious problems
Ryan charges an arm and a leg for his better quality stuff, but I never heard a complaint that wasnt fixed ASAP. And if there were any complaints his ebay feedback would look like ass very fast and people would post negative things on these forums immediately. I know for a fact at JGN you get a confirmation for the silliest little $5 trinket you can buy. I havent seen any discrimination between a $5 order and a $1700 order. Ryan treats each and every customer the same, like he would treat himself.
Shawn used to treat customers like this. An on-line game is nothing to lose a business over. After all the MMORPG isnt putting food on the table (or not consistantly anyway).

It just seems odd that a disproportionate number of the people having problems seem to be brand new to the site. Of course their orders are just as deserving of service as anyone's, I'm just saying that I find it odd that they're almost all brand new.

Nah, I didn't know that ... I guess I kind of assumed most of them would feel obligated to speak up, although that may very well be an error in my judgement. People order from the Neostore without even looking at the forums., or registering. When these people are not getting an answer from the Store, they then in turn Register at the Store's forums to air their problems, and ask what's wrong.
I see nothing odd about new members saying this, they simply did not feel the need to reigster at a Store's forum.
Hell, I registered at a couple of Store's forums when I haven't gotten an e-mail from them, and see what's up in there.

Why, exactly, is that odd?
My guess is that most orders from new customers take considerably more time to process in the first place (creditcard verification etc.) and thus steals more of Shawns time, than orders from the already established and well-known members.
Could it be, that instead of "new customers" being "suspicious" because they choose to react badly to being ignored by a professional store, Shawn is in fact serving those that are the easiest to process, and in return freeing enough time to do what he really wants to right now?
I´ve mentioned this before, but this situation is getting more surreal by the minute.
Am I correct in assuming that, as somebody mentioned a couple of posts ago, I should just accept the way things are, and give Shawn some time and everything will get sorted in due course???
No!
This is not the way things work. You know it and Shawn should bloody well know it also.
Also, just because people haven´t been registered for long, doesn´t mean they are entirely new. The voice is, but that´s all.
I´ve been coming here since around 2003. Registered a week ago (approx.).
So please don´t use your misguided loyalty to the owners of Neostore by attacking the innocent.
That is wrong.

This has nothing to do with videogame addiction. This is about common courtesy, business ethics and receiving the goods you order and pay for.
At best the internet is still a fragile business area. Most people still don´t feel 100% sure about ordering this way, because the way we used to do business was with the goods in our hands when we handed over the money.
Neostore is not exactly helping the process these days.

I have refrained from posting in this thread for several reasons..I don't want to throw gas on the fire so to speak..plus I'm a "n00b" to these forums.
But, i just wanted to say a few things.
Years before I ever registered at these forums I bought from the NeoStore...so the amount of n00bs posting about the problem is not that odd really..many people buy from places without being a member of the site's forums.
I myself have never had ANY problem at all with my orders from Shawn, they all came within 2-3 days, always received confirmation emails with lighting quickness, ect. The last time I bought from him was during the 1 week special..and again..excellent service..my game came 2 days later.
Now the situation thats going on right now...people are having problems with the customer service at the Neostore..the thing I'm confused about is why there are people defending Shawn so much? The guy has done a huge amount of good things for the Neo community..that cannot be argued..but when a business starts to slip I cannot really see any reason for excuses and continued shitty service.
Imagine going to Walmart for something you really needed but they told you to come back a few days later they were busy playing a game online..would that not be fucked up? How is it any different? If people's money is getting taken and they are not getting good service, then why continue to support Neostore?
OK..Shawn comes here and posts once that he has been caught up in a game..we as gamers should understand..ect. Well..thats not really a good excuse for screwing people over on service..thats kinda like your buddy fucking your girlfriend and when you ask him why he did it he replies.."cuz I wanted too".
And then after his confession we still get people posting here that they are having problems..whether its 100% true or not..I cannot say..but assuming it is..or isn't..why doesn't Shawn make another appearance and sort it out? It takes very little time to post a msg or reply to an email.
The whole thing just seems odd as hell to me..no, I do not think Shawn is ripping people off or scamming them..why would he? But he is definatly slipping in his business practices...and the only thing I can forsee happening ultimatly is places like JGN eventually taking all the business that Shawn once had..because really..whats better..good service and fast shipping/replies...or someones past reputation and ego?
Hi Lads and Lassies...
Me and the chat guys have been reading this for a while... I wasn't going to post... but this thread has been rumbling on for a while now...
We all have read about the recent probs with the Neostore... This thread started asking a simple question about the recent concerns with the Neo Store.... AND has now turned into the "Anti-Shawn... WTF is he playing at Thread"...
It seems to me that only the noobs are shouting "FUCK ME... he aint replied in under 30 mins!!!". :oh_no: ...
...THIS could be due to MANY reasons... from noobs asking dumbass questions like "Can I have a payment plan?" to "I paid you 3 seconds ago... where the FUCK is my stuff...."
Some of these noobs have come into chat and pissed me and the guys off with their incessant whingeing and worrying... and that was only A FEW FEKKIN DUMBASS NOOBS!!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/rotphungte/Cablecart5_resized.jpg
Multiply those dumbass noobs And add a few more on... Now Imagine what Shawn has to put up with!!....
I wonder if these noobs are leftovers from Dion's NGF site... Great bum fucking days there I hear....
Lets take a step back here lads... Noobs AND fekkin old tymers should appreciate what Shawn and the guys here have done for the fekkin Neo community...
Shawn runs a business... stuff happens... I ran (and still do run...) my parents business and my own business for the past decade... LITTLE things can affect a small business greatly... I'm SURE some of you guys out there can back me up on this...
...These whingeing, screamin"Noobs"... and the Anti_Shawn_NeoStore_We_would_Like_Dashk_running_th e_FUCKING_place people... should start to appreciate that life isn't a Cake walk.... and stuff happens that will affect a business... get over it... :shame:
Btw1. Yes... I have dealt with Shawn before... GREAT deal... And before you ask... I aint sleeping with him...
Btw2. GREAT Dog on my avatar eh guys? :buttrock:

Have you even read the posts you so eloquently comment on?
This isn´t about Shawn. I couldn´t give a frogs fat ass about Shawn. He´s probably one of the good guys for all I know.
This is about a business that has suddenly and completely grinded to a halt and in the process more or less blacked out all communication, leaving people to make of it what they will.
That is not acceptable by any standards, when the only reason given is; "I´m too busy playing a game".
Apparently this has happened before, which hardly justifies it this time around.
Please take your fanboyish shit elsewhere, and stop harassing newcomers the board. That´s just plain stupid when you consider the facts at hand.
