I'm up for some games. Third Strike?

I'll be back in a while, got some shit to do.
I love the layout of the Official SFAE stick, but damn, the stick itself sucks the balls.
Keeps wiggin' out a little bit, gets stuck in the down position.

Gonna have to replace that shit with a real Happ.

The stick on mine has this little sharp piece of plastic on the bottom of the stick and it pokes my hand all the time. That's the only thing I really don't like about it.

Anyway, just post here or PM me later if you want to play. I will probably be up for another hour or so.

Its a fucking shame since I wanted to test my new Hugo/parry skillz on you. Your Hugo is fucking insane and you don't play him like everyone else. That bounce off the wall move into the SA2 is sick. I can't even do it in practice.

I just can't do the damn throw off the wall move consistently.

Loopz, my SF stick has the same problem, gets stuck down sometimes. The thing would be a bitch to mod as well.

What problem are you having with connecting it with the wall bounce move? I always pick SA2 because I'm able to verify it 100% of the time. As soon as I grab them to throw them against the wall, I'm already inputting the 2x qcf + k and it'll always connect

throw an ex clap in between the grab and the super.
horrible damage scaling, but looks cool.

and always land 360+k once a match. it's good for no more than that, and it pisses people off b/c it's so slow.

Yeah, you have to be in the corner to do this, though. Not real useful, especially wasting bar for EX Clap.

Always try to land Meat Squasher to get your opponent in the corner. Hugo rocks everything when he corners peeps.

Regular claps are easy enough to do back to back for some pretty good damage.
I don't use EX moves at all since I do gigas and don't waste any bar on them. Its hard enough to fill it up once per match.

Come back, my CvS2 buddy :crying:

Man, I know how I'll be spending this evening.
It'll be like consoling the Rancor keeper when Luke killed it in Jedi.

My homie is coming to pick me up here in an hour and we're going to town (haha, it's funny talking like that 'cause we live in the boonies) to pick me up another Xbox. I thought about getting the SFAC stick, but after hearing so many stories of people having problems with it, I'll just pass. That's a fucking slick looking stick, though. I love the box art and the art on the stick itself. Shame it has so many problems :(

Eh, the only problem I have really had with it is the time the stick kept moving down for some reason. All I did was unplug it and plug it back in and it worked fine.

SonGohan: Glad to see you are back on Live. I tried sending you invites to CvS2 today, but it seemed that you were having some intense matches in SF:AC. Maybe we can play again sometime... and remember to hook up your mic. I need critiques on my crappy ground game. :envy:

A heads up on the stick, it isn't bad. Several people have had the sticking problems and fixed them by opening up the box and filing the connector switch in the direction it sticks slightly with a nail file. My only issue with it is doing charge d/b to u/b moves like with vega. For some reason on mine I have to go from d/b, then making a vere toward neutral to u/b because if I hit the actual B motion it screws the move up and I just jump back. The buttons are strange. They work well and feel ok after a while, but they are raised up a bit too much.
As for modding the thing with other components it looks rather easy. The biggest 2 problems are that you would have to remove the rubber stripping (its not glued down) around the box so that you can take the plexi top and art off to remove the stick itself and the start/select buttons are smaller than regular ones so you would have to cut out extra space to replace those if you even care. Other than that it looks simple enough. The wires are not soldered to the buttons, they used connectors. When I get the time and extra cash I plan to throw a Happs competition stick in there and likely replace the buttons with some arcade quality convex ones. The only thing I don't really know is how to wire up a p360 optical stick since it needs a 5v lead and a ground I think. Overall, this is a beginning stick modders dream. It is relatively cheap, works with XB Live with headset support and PS2, looks good, and it has seemingly easily replacable parts. All in all, the stick is a winner in my eyes.
