Neo Geo AES which is newer?

I have a Neo Geo the one that comes is the plain white card board box. What I'm wondering is which is the newer model the one I have or, the one that has a pic of the AES on the box?

The black boxes decorated with photographs and the like are the newer ones. The one you have is one of the very original boxes, obviously from the first systems that made it to the USA, unless they also had those white boxes in Japan.

I have 2 US AES systems... My first one
came in the white box, and and the second one was used and came with 'no box'...
Anyway, the interesting thing is that the newer second one is quite heavier than my first one. It seems like the first models have no RF shielding - and it shows when I plug both of them in and compare. Reds bleed much more with the earlier model.

Thanks for the info about the packaging - I just assumed the 'giant blown-up pic of a NeoGeo' box was a sleeve for the white box and was lost with my NG
