Buy what you like...don't be in such a rush to buy up everything in sight. It's not like this stuff is going anywhere anytime soon.

NEO GOLD,

I hope you're aware of what Freelancer is doing here. It's quite obvious that he's trying to put your mind at ease while he buys up all those precious Neo titles that could have been yours. Now you see just how cutthroat this hobby really is - there are no friends when it comes to Neo collecting.

Neo is a bit of an obsession to buyers. If you are into AES, MVS and CD collecting then it will always be an obsession. People that normally sell come back within a few months to a few years. They cant bare to be away from their precious Neo Geo stuff.

Galfordo is right. Dont listen to that evil Freelancer. He is just trying to buy the games you want :cool: :eek_2: Joking :glee:

Mystic_Flame is right, I have that about 7 AES, 1 CD & 1 MVS and I still come back for more! It's ridiculous!!! BUT, my new girlfriend, as gorgeous as she is, wants me to get rid. Looks like I'm gonna have to take the usual gf/Neo route - Magical Drop & Puzzle Bobble!!!!

It's mostly only hardcore collecting that will bankrupt anyone. Somebody who takes the time to play very thoroughly any new software they get will for the most part never have financial issues to battle with.

Exactly - I still love homecarts, but I'd never take on a bunch of credit card debt just to have tons of rare carts at once. I've always had a small selection of carts, all of which I play seriously. Nothing against the really hardcore collectors out there, but it seems crazy to bankrupt yourself buying Neo games.

You mean you'll Magically Drop her if it gets too difficult?

what type of car are we talking here? :smirk:

it's cool that you want 'em that badly, but i guarantee one thing.....if you go all out now, you won't have as much fun "collecting" the games/carts that you'd like. that's part of the fun.....and there's really no fun in sitting in a room full of them. trust me. i have probably thousands of games and over 10 systems--i have basically everything i want, but it's not as fun as taking a road trip to obscure gaming stores to search for that prized game (or looking online, whatever floats your boat).

whatever you do, enjoy it and have fun (and get a life, dammit!) ;) yes, it was a joke.

I agree, when collecting it is very easy to just go out and spend all your money at once. Quite easy with the AES carts.

But even if you are collecting, best way to do it is to buy a game, then rather than get another right away, spend the time playing and enjoying the game, that way you can fully enjoy the game and have time to save your money.

Agreed galfordo... cutthroat ? most definate, I have learnt now that if you have the cash & there is a mint title in your grasp... then buy it, you never no when you'll get the oppurtunity again!... kick myself over not buying that TSS from the neo store!!..... trouble is guys.. most of the titles i require now are the big guns, i.e Neoturfmaster & metalslug 1 , breakers.. to name but few, and they don't come up that often people!... & for the record i do play all my neo games whenever i have free time.. :D

I've slowed down like you wouldn't believe as there is not too many games I need. Well Iam not exactly sure...but you know. I've only got 2 AES games in like 5 months time. I've bought more MVS recently...and my SG is coming soon. :drool:

If you think NEO:GEO collecting is a bit pricey then take a look at what I'm seriously debating about putting on my VISA CARD {"DOH!"}

I don't want to, but damn it, it might be the only way for a fan of that obscure Japanimation show to ever have DVDs of the OVAs after the TV-Series. :mad: Compared to this, my Neo:Geo affliction is nothing. ***Wish I could get it cheaper somewhere else***
