You know, I've heard so much about that game. I've yet to play it. For now, I'm sticking with KOF98, but SS2 is next on my list. I've played the first (for Genesis, which I actually thought was pretty good for $3 complete.)

If you guys buy my games, MAYBE I could get SS2...

ss2 is great, but I prefer the first in the series.

Metal Slug 3 :buttrock:

Samurai Showdown definitely defined the Neo-Geo platform both at home and in the arcades away from 'the other' platforms of the day, but the Metal Slug series is umatched by any other similar series on t3h c0ns0l3s.

The 90's video game market was saturated with fighters, which is not to take away from how much SS2 rocks, but the Metal Slug series stood out from the crowd in the local arcades.

MS3 >= SS2 > Anything else in the market at the time...

Truly a terrific fighter for the Neo - and perhaps the best game on the Neo period. But there are quite a few other titles on the Neo that I "need" to own. :kekeke:

SHOCK TROOPERS

*fully realized Commando II {MERCS} that just kicks ass. Enough carnage and death to satisify any fan of RGS games. I can't sing the praises of this title enough. I still play my copy at least once a week.

Real Bout. A few months ago it would have been KOF 95, but Real Bout is now my top Neo game.

Where do you get that Maku no Ookami bullshit? It's 'Mark of the Wolves' in the JPN version also. What you got is gramatically wrong, anyway. It's like you're trying to say 'Wolf of the Marks'. Stick to english. Don't try to be like those anime dorks or something, using Japanese words out of context for no reason.

Um, you mean "ookami no maku" now don't you? Garou: wolves of the mark?

To add my two cents: KOF 98, if you could only own one Neo game.

edit: I see that southtown kid already beat you up over your god awful translation. So, never mind. ;)

If I could own only one Neo game, but still have ports I would likely pick Sam Sho 5 Special as everything else I really like has a fairly decent one out or potentially coming. Hopefully the PS2 version of KoF 98 doesn't restart the background music with each fighter change as the DC did. If ports are out too that is a tough call. I would probably stick with Last Blade 2.

I don't know Japanese, but I got that bullshit from some page, I knew it was wrong(but I didn't know it was gramatically wrong though), but it sounded funny, so lol...

Not to take anything away from SS2..which is a great game no doubt...my pick would be Real Bout Fatal Fury Special.

Just a personal preference really, and its the one game that never gets old for me, no matter how many hours I invest in it. I find the FF characters more interesting than the SS ones for some reason, and RBFFS is like art in motion as well, beatiful game imo.

I have always thought of keeping just an AES with two baords and one game. That would then have to be Slug 3. Its just that good and for me really the game to have if you can only have one. Its that good I think.

However, I'd need at least two...a fighter too. That would have to be MOTW :D

Just had a game on Last Blade 2 and have tochange my earlier statement to exactly what johnno says:

Slug 3 is the game to own. But a fighter would have to be there too...and that'd have to be LB2. Prolly even better than MOTW
