how do i get a pic from my hard drive in my post?

Can a mod please explain to me how i can get a pic from my hard drive of an item im selling in my post. Its save as jpg. format and has been scanned for viruses...I was reading the faq and it said i need permission for attachments, can someone help me, maybe im confused because it seems everyone puts pics in their posts and ive been on these forums for 3 years and never knew how!

Only users with certain privileges can post attachments. What the rest of the mortals like me do is to upload our pictures to our own hosting space (like if we had our own webpage), and then link to them using the tag [IMG ] url of the pic, like http://mywebpage.com/mypic.jpg [ /IMG] , you can use the button above that says "insert image" too.

To get a Picture from your hard drive into your post....in 6 easy steps:

1.Select picture you need.

2.Print it out.

3.Get an envelope.

4.Put your address on it.

5.Go to your post office and give it to the nice lady behind the counter.

6.Wait a few days and the postman will bring it back to you.

See its easy.

once you have selected a pic and they host it, they give you links to the pic you can copy and paste into your NG.com post.
