Metal Slug 2 for Neo CD slowdown

I just started playing this and I noticed that just about whenever there's any action on screen, the game slows down like hell. I knew the game had framerate drops, but just from using the heavy machine gun!? It's frickin' ridiculous, is this normal?

yes it is very normal. the slowdown occurs in all versions of the game. Most don't find it to be that bad though

Odd, I never noticed it in the MVS version... Then again, I've only played a real version of X which was supposed to fix that, I've only played a ROM of 2. :/

Oh well, it sucks, but I guess it can be ignored somewhat.

Use the slowdown to your advantage i didnt think it was that bad when i had it for the cd

I don't think so...but in theory it would make the games load faster ala the CDZ.

Welcome to MS2. I always hated the slowdown in MS2 since I played it on MVS. Some members don't care and some even find this good. I just find this unacceptable!
