Since there are two thread requesting NO SPOILERS, and understandable so, but spoilers have made their way into these threads regardless. So I've decided to start a SPOILERS thread. I am just requesting, if you can preface your posts like this

Chapter: #-#
Subject: xxx

<spaces>

<post>

So if you are stuck or want to say something AWESOME you've seen post it here to dicuss. Just preface it so others know skip if its something they haven't reached some part of the game. I'll go first.

Chapter: 4-2
Subject: Weapons

Are you guys upgrading your shotty from the standard, to the riot, to the automatic? I just feel compelled to get the latest weapon technologies available. I still haven't bought the Broken Butterfly (Magnum), though, mainly because I've seen no ammo for it. Does the magnum the warrant purchase?

SPOILERS:

You find that gun later, for free somewhere in the castle. Well, that's what everyone says, but I've not found it. You get magnum bullets just before you fight "Right Hand".

I am doing fine without it so far. Just so you know. ;)

Chapter 3-2

Am I done with the insects in the sewer? I just killed that priest/shaman guy on the machinegun turret, and I was hoping I didn't have to go down into another sewers area again.

Chapter: 3+
Subject: Mini-Game

How are you folks doing in the Target Practive mini-game. I am finding it quite fun, but I am confused when I am awarded a "Rare Prize." Is it just another bottle cap?

Krauser.

Wesker is only mentioned in passing. He doesn't appear in the game.

Yeah, when you get further along you will find a note that tells about the prizes/shooting games. There are 3 shooting game locations (at least that's how many I found) with 6 caps at each one. When you fill up a row of caps you get a special cap. I think it said something about scoring over 3000 to get a cap at the second location (where I found this information). But, posted on one of the walls it said high score 4000 (this may have been at the 3rd shooting gallery, don't remember I've been playing a while). I got agitated and quit the minigames.

PS: I finished the first disc! 16 hrs in.. 2 of that was leaving the game paused while I posted here. :kekeke:

I would also like to know.

@Wiz

Yes I've sold all the jewerly and other stuff. Wait and find all the pieces that go in the mug (and mask you find later) then the merchant will buy it for way more money. Everything that's important is above your treasure.

Reply ....

I got the mini-game "manual" on the shop keep's desk, and I just don't see the rare prize. I've completed rows 1 and 2. I think there are 4 locations, cause there are 4 rows. Fill you some more later :)

SPOILER

He's someone Leon used to know who was supposed to have died in a helicopter crash. At first I thought it was a reference in a crash in another game, but apparently not. (although I'm not 100% sure on that...he COULD have died in such a crash)

Anyway, he now works for someone we all know and love. I've said to much...the Los Illuminados are on to me.

Just beat the game.. its pretty cool .. only a few gripes here or there. I'm pretty dissapointed about how little the story ties into the other games(they keep the story telling to a minimum). The Bosses were great, but i sort of miss some of the old puzzles that made the game challenging (Tetris puzzle in RE 3). The Quicktime events were awesome tho... I love that stuff and its especially well done too.. I wont spoil the minigames for anyone heh. I really don't like ashley or any games where u have to protect other people.. is kinda ghey but whatever. How long do you suppose it will take them to make RE 5?

The funny thing is that after RE3

MAJOR FUCKING SPOILER

it always seemed like the next game was the taking down of Umbrella.

This game only amplifies this.

Imagine fighting an army of zombies and ganados...,together....

I thought that would be Code Veronica.. it seems like there milking the series so they dont take down Umbrella so the game keeps going on. The main problem with that is now the story is getting to the point where its close to being convuluded (sp?). Its hard to follow everything because their making things more complicated than they already are. Id like 1 game in the umbrella skyscraper and 1 last one where they destroy the virus then cut to a happy ending and make a whole different series similar to Resident Evil with a different story.

This game is a rip off of RE 2 of sorts because all it does it tie up the fact that ADA is working for WESKER and that she finally gets a sample of a virus. The ending was kind of blah because they introduce all these new characters that you dont need although LUIS was pretty cool...

Anyone notice how EASTERN EUROPE resembles COLOMBIA alot?

Well, according to Mikami Shinji, Umbrella isn't really standing as such, and that does remain thew case, but it certainly doesn't seemc leaned up so long as Wesker's out there.

Someone at Capcom likes the movie The Professional. That's the name of the harder difficulty and also one of the unlocked guns is called Matilda. Maybe it's just a coincidence but who knows.

The locations also remind me of the following movies: The Mummy, Raiders of the Lost Ark, LotR: Two Towers, Aliens, and the original Resident Evil Movie(bypassing the lasers).

SPOILERS:

Anyway, guess we'll have to wait and see if ADA can hold the virus long enough for safe keeping. The whole escape route scene with the Jet-ski, reminded me of MGS3: SE's motorcycle sequences. Except, those were executed alittle better.

Wish it was alittle longer too. After speeding up I made it out in a matter of seconds. I wanted to do a backflip Waverace style so badly, going off the cliffs.

Anyway, I found Saddler alittle more easier than Krauser. Did anyone feel this way also? The quicktime sequences were a lot cooler in the Krauser fight as well. Damn, that was some intense s***. Some CQC would be nice if Leon had this feature.

"Mike, drinks are on me. KABOOM!"

RE5 should take 3 or 4 years so it will be a
hella! huge game or if they do it in about
2 years maybe. The Resident Evil series will
forever be my number #1 favorite game series.

I wish that the original name Biohazard was
kept though. Or through a special order online
would be nice.

I have all the Resident Evil games except,

Resident Evil: Outbreak File 2
Resident Evil: Gun Survivor 2/Firezone
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil Gaiden

I want to see that sexy Claire Redfield again. Mmmm! :kekeke:

She was hot! in Resident Evil: Code Veronica X huh.
:kekeke: :emb:
