Black and White..?

Hi All,

Im new to Neo Geo, and I've just started collecting. I have the original Neo Geo Home Cart system on its way to me, and I have a question for anyone who could help me: Is it in black and white? I heard something about it, but Im not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, happy new year.

Is what in black and white? the picture? What country are you from?

Is this what you're talking about? Damaged S-Video cords will sometimes cause the display to appear black & white, but for this to even be an issue, I guess you'd have to have an S-Video mod on the system you're getting.

But it's hard to tell what exactly you're asking from your post. If you could give more detail, I'm sure we'd all be happy to help.

The orginal portable Neo Geo Pocket is black and white. Neo Geo Cart is in color.

Well, Im not too sure myself. The Neo Geo is the first model, Japanese. I heard something about it, like the video was black and white. Thanks for the replies.

Must be talking about the Portable Neo Geo Pocket and not the home cart. The home cart (either version Jp or US) has been in color from day one.

No, I know for a fact its a cart. I've seen it. I have a Neo Geo Pocket and the color.

I've now heard from someone that the chip must be fried :-(

Yeah it's B & W if you hook up to a Black and White TV set......

Hi NEO GEO 20202,

All Neo Geo cart games AES are in color. Have you seen NEO GEO in the arcades. It is the same games on the home system. You are probably playing the games on a Black/White TV or there is something seriously wrong with your NEO GEO system or TV.

Maybe he means the console itself... Neo Geo systems are Black... and if you look in the war room, there is a guy with a neo geo, with a black ass. (no kidding)
