Just wanted to get some other opinions on it.
Spike Spiegel said:Wow, NIN.com says that it's in two styles. One is a cd and one is a dvd? It says the songs are redone in 5.1? Is this an audio DVD or does it have videos? I don't get it, but I want it. DS in 5.1? Oh hell yes!
Michael Yagami said:There is a second edition of TDS (other than the one I'm ranting about) thats mixed in DVD audio. I picked up the double disc version because it offered both the 5.1 mix and SACD mix as well as the bonus disc.
genjiglove said:I kept telling myself "After I buy RE4, I'm not wasting money on anything else." Then I come in here and read that one of my favorite albums of all time has been rereleased with all this extra stuff, and that plan is ruined. Thanks a lot guys.
Spike Spiegel said:It's hands down my favorite album ever made. Then again, NIN is my favorite band.
Anyhow, I guess I won't be able to play this in 5.1 unless I have a Sony player?? Is this right, or is my friend retarded? I have to hear this in 5.1!

Michael Yagami said:5.1 is 5.1 man, it doesn't really matter what brand your system is (at least I think not).
genjiglove said:That's what I always thought too.
Spike Spiegel said:Oh, my stuipd friend said since it was a "super CD" it was "sony technology" and had to be played on Sony players, since only they could read super CDs....or some shit. I'm glad he's wrong.

(read the product description 1/2 way down) CurtWRX said:Thanks for letting me know, I can't believe this passed me by.
BTW the DTS "And All that could have been" tour DVD is godly.
Spike Spiegel said:So, I picked this up today. It's an audio DVD, so it played just fine in my DVD player. My freind's and idiot.
WHAT A MIX. Best album ever. I can't get enough of just how fine the quality of this is! The songs are all, more or less, the same but in 5.1. However, there are changes to some of them.... but unless you're a huge NIN fan (like me) you wouldn't really notice. I love the little changes and extra SFX. What a great disk, and what a way to show off your sound system.
Trent Reznor is a god.
