I'm going to say Ronin, the chase scenes with Audi S8 are just astonishing.

Blues Brothers, yeah, but the chase at the end. From the moment Jake says, "Hit it," on.

This is a subject that, while I understand everyone has an opinion, I am completely unable to accept any opinion other than the chase at the end of Blues Brothers.

Ronin was great. For a more "realistic" style movie, it may be top. "Realistic" in quotes because once you watch the movie enough times, you can't help notice the oncoming traffic is going about 5-10 mph tops. Although parts of the Blues Brothers chase are clearly unrealistic, in my opinion it outdoes the Ronin chase in every possible way. "What car are we?" "Five-five." "This is car fifty-five. We're in a truck!"

Vanishing Point, which I'm just saying in order to be different. Kernowing, if you will.

Gekiga In nailed it right on the head.

Bullit had the end all car chase that every movie wishes it could do but just can't. :)

Not the best, but I've always enjoyed the chase scene in Jackie Chan's "Who Am I?" .

1996's, "The Rock"

Connery's Hummer going all over Frisco, while the cops and Cage's Ferrari are after him. :buttrock:

Freeway chase in Matrix Reloaded wasn't bad either. I was on the edge of my seat when I first saw this scene in the theatres.

OMG! I thought I was the only one thinking that! As soon as I saw the title for the thread I thought of those two!

The Bad Boys 2 chase is good but it's kind of ripped off from a smiliar chase (with less/no CGI) in Eastwood's The Rookie.

Personal faves are Ronin, Taxi (the original not the dumbfuck remake), Licence To Kill (the tanker sequence), Matrix Reloaded, Blues Brothers... can't think of any others right now....

"It's a 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses - hit it."

A simply timeless classic man, and one of me fave movies evar.
