You know, like i'd wanted to play Strahl / Triad Stone for years since i saw it in EGM circa 94, got it today and lovin it, though tbh you gotta be fan of these types really.

Was gonna keep it locked to "interactive" (lol) cartoon games, but might as well extend the reach to the likes of American Lazer Games etc..........

Add FMV detective adventures etc if you will.

I had a lot of fun with my roommate's Sherlock Holmes game for the Sega CD back in the day. Forget the name though.

'Course, once you cleared the game and solved the mysteries (and there were only three), that was it. It had ZERO replay value.

The Sega CD is the master system for FMV crap. So many of the titles were FMV and they all kinda bite in my opinion. Even games that weren't FMV based had too many video cutscenes. Sega was trying to hard to be like OMFG CD MEDIA!!@@~@!!1

Is there a list somewhere of the available LazerActive games?

I mastered Space Ace when it first came out. Of the ones listed I chose Cobra Command though Cliffhanger and Firefox are high on my list ;)

Tough call, my fav is Road Prosecutor, not just direction buttons, also combination of direction, break, and/or turbo, plus 9 stages, longer than many LD games. However, my next fav game, very close, is Vajra 2, anyone who've played this game wouldn't believe it's made in 1994, speaking of LaserActive, I'm fanatic of LD games, just check what games I have here

There're 18 games made in US/Canada market, 3 games require TurboGrafx or PC-Engine module, the other 15 games require Sega Genesis or MegaDrive module. In Japan, there're 13 more games made, but most are adult hentai/quiz show crap, many of those games in Japan came out in both PC-E and Sega modules (green/yellow), very confusing.

Time Gal

*that bitch looked just like Yuri from the original
DIRTY PAIR except with green hair, hell even the
outfit was more or less the same. Give her a yellow
suit and a WWWA badge and she'd be Dirty.

Anyhow... While I loved DRAGON'S LAIR, I really
got into the time traveling antics of Time Gal and it's
really a shame the game doesn't get much love at
all like the others. I'd have to place Road Avenger
in second place.

Don't really have any favourite atm as they're so hard to come over.
Didn't time gal get a laseractive release too?

On a side note I am looking for laseractive titles of both kinds.

Dude, WTF.

How can MadDog McCree NOT be on that list?

Also an oldschool one I got a kick out of was the Sherlock Holmes Discs for the Sega CD.

funny you started this thread...
I spent Sunday to burn and figure out how to run Daphne on my Xbox...
playing Dragon's Lair on 42" screen is a pleasure - and I still suck after all these years... :D

AWESOME thread. I loved Dragons Lair back in the day. I used to go to the arcade and me and my brother couldn't get over the fact that we were PLAYING a cartoon. The part with the chess board was just unreal.

My favorite FMV game is sewer shark. I absolutely loved that game, I played it straight through to the end once I started. There were so many great ( I mean bad) FMV games for the sega cd. Did anyone ever play that strange boxing one?? some crazy stuff.

Cobra Command + Road Avenger + Time Gal + Ninja Hayate = :buttrock: :buttrock:

That's the main reason I bought Sega CD (Final Fight is another one)

Strangely enough I bought my SEGA CD originally because EGM reported that the games Ninja Warriors and Sengoku were both coming stateside, then neither came out here and I was crushed. Though the FMV games were nice and Final Fight was good, all of the really cool stuff stayed MEGA CD. Ninja Warriors still ownz most of the games on the domestic system for free.

other:

It Came From The Desert [TG16 CD]

Played through that multiple times. Might not count since it had a few action sequences with graphics other than video though. If that doesn't count than Sherlock Holmes 1 on TG16 CD.

I always sucked too much at the Dragon's Lair series that I had to vote for Time Gal. Very tough choice though. And nice thread!
