Jamma Supergun scart problem.

I recently built my first Jamma Supergun and it works great. The only problem is the 5v line on the scart blacking pin, I added a 100ohm resistor (like it says to on Chad's Arcade Site) but it made no difference to the voltage. Is this because the resistance of the resistor is too low? what should I aim to get the voltage down to? I noticed adding a 10k pot lowered the voltage to 4.95v (from 5v) but adjusting the pot made no difference it always stays at 4.95v.

Any help is very much appreciated.

PS. I'm using a PAL TV which supports direct RGB so no converter is being used.

I'm no expert on this so if I'm wrong please correct me, but from what I remember from high school, V=IxR, so I thought that increasing resistance would drop intensity but it would do no change to voltage. Sorry if what I said is a stupidity.

The scart pin out shows pin 16 blanking as being low for composite and high for RGB, the high state is 1- 3 volts, so if your using the 5 volt rail use a potential divider, say a 4.7KOhm from 5 volts to pin 16 and 4.7KOhm from pin 16 to ground, that will give you 2.5 volts wich should work.
This is only theory BTW, Ive never used scart for superguns, TVs here dont use scart.
