galfordo said:I'm not crazy about people amassing nothing but conversions either, but what's the big deal as long as he's clear about what he's selling?
Mystic_flame said:I really dont have a problem with conversions being sold, but eventually one fucker or another will pass a conversion off as the real thing. Thats where it all begins. If it starts out as a conversion and is sold as a converstion for the rest of its days then its fine. Somehow some fuckers think they can pull a fast one and sell it as an original.

galfordo said:Yeah, I guess I can see that. In the end though, it's the person that sells it as original who is really to blame there.

ORPHEUS said:That sucks. I thought it was another member here who's Ebay profile went by the name CGgame or something like that.
djrconsoles kr1 said:yeah, I saw those earlier, the metal slugs are irresponsible
ORPHEUS said:No, they are not necessarily.
"Let the buyer beware"
You want to buy a GAME buy MVS
You want to buy a COLLECTIBLE buy a homecart.
If you go buying a collectible to take all the precautions NECESARY when doing so and all should end up fine.
Lord of Magic said:Aint these classed as bootlegs? ...didnt think they were allowed on Ebay anyway.
ORPHEUS said:No, they are not necessarily.I meant that new buyers might be mis-lead in future auctions/sales by someone selling them off as an original. By making them exactly like the original + manuals, it makes it even harder for someone to spot the conversion.
Mystic_flame said:This is true up to a certain extent. Noobs dont even know conversions exist until they find out first hand or someone explains it to them in depth. There is a chance they will pass these off as originals out of ignorance. Noobs dont know what necessary precautions are until they get scammed.
ORPHEUS said:AHHHH, but you see, there is the mistake that you all make.
People like that DESERVE to get ripped off.
Your telling me that you feel pitty for jackass who of all game systems gets into, by far the most expensive that there has ever been made starts purchasing extremily costly collectible games WITHOUT doing ANY type of research at all.
When people start collecting a certain genre (art, etc) they educate themselves and do research first.
A person getting into the neo right off the bat should know that games like metal slug and others go for THOUSANDS of dollars and that conversions are made and are available so they need to do thier homework and be cautious when buying.
Otherwise: a fool and his money are easily parted.
I do however share some of you outlook on it but I will share that later as I need to go now.
