Discuss and/or make your predictions.

Rams / Falcons - We'll send Bulger's bones back home nice and clean.
(Falcons win 30-17)

Colts / Pats - Upset. Pat's secondary isn't healthy ( no Ty Law or Poole ) and the Colts are the last team you wanna face with a hurt or weak secondary.
(Colts win 35-27)

Vikings / Eagles - Hard to say how the Eagles will deal with almost a month off and coming back with no TO. Close game though.
(Vikings win 30-27)

Jets / Steelers - It won't be a major blow out like most people think.
(Steelers win 17-13)

Hardy, har, har!

Ah, I've been hearing this from the national media all day, "the Colts offense will make quick work of the depleted New England secondary." Oh, this is gonna be good. Folks, Bill Belicheck in is Manning's head. He owns him. Playing in New England, on the Frozen Razor, against the best TEAM in the NFL. Yes New England plays a TEAM game. The Pats play well on offense, defense, and special teams, where the Colts just got offense. I respect the historic numbers the Colts offense has put up, but they are now face with one of the best defenses in the NFL and are going to have to handle a solid ground attack.

Jets over Steeler - Steelers are pretenders
Vikes over Eagles - Eagles have been in deep freeze
Falcons over Rams - this is a really tough one to call, borth teams are hungry.

Great thread btw, I'm looking forward to some more discussion.

Very true, but that's how the Colts play. They don't even set up their defence to worry about little short yard screen passes or runs. They'll let the other team score 30 points and not worry about it, they assume they'll score 40. It's rare this tactic works, but it can. Look at the Rams in 2000.

IMO the biggiest thing in the Pat's favor is the weather. Colts are a dome team and playing outdoors in cold shitty weather might hurt Manning's lethal arm.

Same goes for the Falcons, which is why I want the Vikings to win. I'd much rather play the Vikings here at home for the Championship game instead of going up to Philly outdoors on their turf.

Well consider the last time the Vikes Played the Eagles (lost) I gotta go with the vikes, but I pretty much agree with Abasuto, and don't think they'll last much longer after the Eagles, but i'd love to be surprised.

If you *honestly* believe that the Vikes will beat the eagles and you aren't a viking fan, you need to have your head checked.

The Steelers are the best team in the NFL right now, not the Patriots.

Nah, its the Pats.

The Steelers beat the Pats in the regular season, so till they beat the Steelers, or the Steelers lose this weekend they are the best. :) :D

Check out the line on that game.. I think it says it all.. it opened at 9 1/2, which in the playoffs, is damn close to vegas saying "Not even fucking close".

Hmm I'm considering changing my opinion on the Colts Pats game though. Vanderjagt announced that he thinks the "Patriots are ripe for the picking". Possibly the dumbest thing you could say IMO, talk about lighting a fire under a team.

You'd think he learned his lesson when Lynch talked trash on the Colts last week.

Without TO, the Eagles offense is questionable, and I think that the Vikings will win. The real question is how well the Eagles defense plays. If they shut down the Vikings offense, they will win. But I don't think that will happen, and the Eagles look stale, so I say Vikings.

The Colts right now look very good. I think they will beat the patriots. A lot of people question the Colts defense, but they have the most takeaways in the NFL. I think part of the reason the colts defense lets up as many points as it does is becaue the offense scores so much. A couple of the guys on the secondary and Dwight Freeney are pretty good, so it's not the worst defense I've ever seen.

Steelers have the Jets number. I don't see how the Jets could win unless Curtis Martin has an extremely good game. The steelers have an excellent all around defense and their running game is deadly.

Falcons I think will beat St. Louis. I don't think the St. Louis defense will be able to handle Vick. The Falcons don't have a bad defense either, so I think they can probably win.
