 That's a lot of rubber feet!

Very nice job! I like the decal too! Normally I think the decals are kinda tacky, but that one is very well done.

Is that a cutting board base? What material did you use?

It's great, nice work. However you have the board round the wrong way. Your front is the back of the board. This can't be helped I guess as you wanted the control ports at the front.

Thanks, mate. :glee:

I'm glad you like them.
I drew them up and sent my designs to Medash Signs: www.medashsigns.com
They are a sign making company in the UK.

I decided to go with the original, gold, AES style logo with the 'MV-6F' underneath.
This logo I feel is more classic looking than the blue and yellow logo that came later.

Thanks Raz. :)

I thought you'd like it. ;)

p.s. The system has been 'on' for about 5 days now. Do you think that big battery will be charged?

That's exactly right.

I wanted the ports at the front and the edge connetor at the back.
Plus, the 'MV-6F' graphic would have to be smaller if the board was the other way round, I think it would look odd.

Also, I have left the large wiring looms sticking out the sides so that the top cover can easily be removed for cleaning or BIOS changing (if Raz makes another).
You just unscrew and flip the lid over backwards.
This would have been more difficult if the board was the other way round.

Glad you like it though. :glee:

Glad you appreciate it, D-Lite.

The rubber feet all add to the rigidity of the system. The more, the merrier!

It is not a cutting board base.
It was custom machined by Nylaplas Engineering (uk) to my specifications.
It appears to be some kind of high tensile nylon, though I am unsure.

I just told them what I needed, I left the choice of material up to them.

Nice looking unit you built there. What type of paint job is that?

Thanks galfordo.

It's just normal car paint.
I primed it grey then sprayed it white.
I then applied the graphics (after the paint had dried) and then lacquered over the top of it all.

The lacquer gives it a nice shine and will protect the paint and the graphics.

Thanks Cassius, I'm glad you like it. :)

OK, sounds good. Just wondering if it's acrylic or not as there is concern over static charge build up.

Thats simply awesome man! Great job, the decals really do add to the overall presentation. I'm curious as well...how much did that project set you back?

At any rate, very sweet setup man ;)

A lot!

The board was bought mint, and I do mean mint! It had been in storage for years.(it didn't even have any dust on it).

Custom parts here and there.

I dread to think what it's cost me!

I'm happy with the end result though, and that's the main thing. :glee:
