Anything is an improvement over the new 2006 redesign of the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Goddamn, I'm a current 3G Eclipse owner and I must say that easily gets the nod for one of the top 3 ugliest cars of the year award...only the Charger and new Mustang top it.

The Skyline is dead. The new car from Nissan/Infiniti is no Skyline.

I don't understand the decision to basically make one basic car frame into three. Especially with a car that has such a deep heritage as the Skyline.

A friend of mine used to have the 240k GT Skyline, the old '79 model. It wasn't the prettiest car but it was great fun and a nice drive.

But that's just it. I absolutely love the older body styles of the Skyline. Even up to the R34 they kept the same feel going. But with this one, they've completely dropped the ball. Its simply lost all its character.

I know me and my friends are getting older. We're like fifty and sixty year old guys and their iron hot rods. Only our hot rods are defunkt imports from the 70's, 80's and 90's. I'm really not nuts about any newer cars out there. I like the WRX and Evo, but I'd take a restored and engine swapped 510 over any car out now.

ITS NOT AN R35.
Its a V35 Skyline. Basically the same as the US infinity G35, only better.
There is no current gen GT-R.
There has always been a "normal" family car skyline, but in the past they looked the same as the Rseries. The rumors ive heard say nissan is working on a completely new GT-R, that wont be based on the current skyline platform (at least, not much).

Im a big fan of the skyline, my mate has the R32, great piece of kit, but this supposed new skyline is a travesty/disgrace to the name.
Where are the massive rear lights, spoilers?????

It just looks like another family car with a boring Nissan badge on it.

Even Nissan know they're boring, hence the skyline was "Skyline" with its own skyline badge so know one confused it with a nissan

I'm just saying that it's like just an ordinary Nissan Skyline's special model and there's not supposed to be massive rear lights or spoilers there and any other stuff that we are familiar with, with the GT-R..

Like Rassilon stated, that is a V35 Skyline.

ok, but even the standard skyline had the recognisable rear lights. My original post just stated that this has no ties to any other skyline except for the name skyline
