Does anyone know of Firefox plugin that will allow windows media player files to play in the browser window? At the moment I have to "Open in IE" to get these files to play.

I don't think there is a plugin as of yet to allow you to play WMA within the browser. I've gone through all of the "official" plugins and I don't think any allow you to do what you are looking for.

Open in IE is probably all you can do at this point, unless you can find a way to tell it to open Media Player (or whatever) externally, at which point it STILL doesn't do what you want it to.

Huh? I can watch any windows media vid using Firefox with no problem. Even that RE4 preview vid from gamestop you said required IE to view.

Is that an example of what you can't watch? :make_fac:

Yup, saw that hot chick with an old guy vid, no problem whatsoever. Hahahah. ;)
Hmm... interesting. I wonder why I can't see it either then?

Oh well, whatever, it doesn't bother me as I tend not to watch video clips anyway.

1.0 as well, build 20041107, which is the one you download directly from their site.

Hmm... maybe it has to do with what player you have associated with those files?

LY- are you using MP 9 or 10 for the vids, or does it play in something else? Also, are you running Windows, Linux or something else?

Sorry, for the late reply man, forgot about this thread

I am using firefox 1.0, and have windows mp 10. The movies play right in the firefox window tho, exactly the same as if I were using IE. I am running Windows XP too btw. Anyone else having trouble watching vids in firefox?
