Could the Mets actually be good next season ???

They signed Pedro and Beltran. Now it's came out that they're heavily pursuing Carlos Delgado. They feel very confident they'll get him. They're also talking to the Cubs about getting Sosa. ( Sosa for Cliff Floyd +cash is what rumored to up on the table now )

Piazza, Beltran, Delgado. Sosa. That's a dangerous 2-5 line up of hitters there, probably the most dangerous in all of baseball. Pedro and Glavine as 1-2 starters isn't no joke either.

So, could the Mets be a good team. Or are they pissing away a 200 million+ dollar payroll only to finish last.

Given their "illustrious" history as a team I'd fire the entire management, all the trainers, coaches, assistant coaches, PT people, the team Doctor, half of the front office, the new GM, assistant GM, cut contracts with the sponsors, burn down shea stadium, shoot the entire upper management in the face, re-negotiate the TV contract, burn all the NY Mets uniforms, erase all references to the mets, kill the owner, his entire family, prior owners, and basically re-build the entire organization from scratch under a different name, in a different borough, with new owners, management, coaches, in a new stadium, with a new tv contract, before I'd consider them a "healthy" team with a viable shot at anything except bitter failure.
