I'm intrigued by this game and would like to check it out when it comes out. Nina was always kick ass in the Tekken series. I'd like impressions and whatnot for this game from what people have seen so far from E3, etc.

The game also comes with a Tekken 5 demo.

Thanks.

I tried it at E3. Obviously, the one they had was unfinished, but what they had so far was D-U-L-L. If you want me to describe what I didn't like...it's hard, because the game made very little impression on me. I tried it and moved on; didn't wait until I died or anything. Played for maybe one minute, and lost all interest. Open, empty environments, for one thing -- what I played all took place on a boring looking cruise ship. People popped out of nowhere, and I fought them. Then I ran into a fountain and picked something up.

The whole time I played (all 60 seconds of it), I couldn't stop thinking, "So what?" I'm sure the real one will be much better, but I can definitely wait for it.

I've heard similar statements by EGM, but it seems like people were disappointed by it's E3 showing. I heard there has been improvements in the gameplay department, but I'm not sure if it's truth or just a false rumor.

No matter how bad the game is I'm pretty sure there will be people buying the game for T5 demo. Damn... I'm just hoping JPN release date is still on schedule. :eye::eye:

I remember some guys from GameFAQs said that the demo of Tekken 5 was the sole reason why they were buying the game. It's kinda like how my friend Fern ended up buying Zone of the Enders for PS2 mainly for the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo.

Yeah but see Teken 5 is in the Arcades... So what would be the point...

It'll be interesting if there's some sort of unlockables in DBD which can be transfer to T5. Perhaps extra costume or accessories etc. :eek_2:

Tekken 5 got pushed back to March 18th. :crying: I'm not really a Nina fan, so I'm gonna pass on the game all together.

Yeah, I've been interested in this game since it was simply called NINA. I'm not expecting much, but I wouldn't mind givin' it a go to see if it's worth a damn. What I really want is for NAMCO to get off their lazy asses and make a new 2-D high resolution sprite filled insane installment of the ROLLING THUNDER series. It's high time GELDRA stir up some shit, if not introduce a new meance and for Leila, Albatross and some new ppl answer the call and put in their buck o' five.

Man there are so many different release dates for the US release. Even Namco states the game is TBA sometime in winter of 2005. :spock:

1) Arcades are sparse
2) Its a $1 play :blow_top:

A $1 play for a fighting game is friggin' crazy, 50 cents should be the most.

That's what I was kinda hoping for.

I might rent this game before I buy depending on the price.

er... you guys have seen footage of the game. I guess it depends on the person. I'm into those types of games where you go around beating the living crap out of whordes of enemies using a multitude of special attacks of your own.

The game so far reminds me of Devil May Cry or Chaos Legion. Maybe even Dynasty Warriors. The point is all those games kicked ass. I can only assume the controls are going to be the hardest thing to master. I've seen footage of Nina performing way too many attacks for a standard controller. Ten strings, attack patterns changing directions, firing weapons at designated targets, multi-throws and just Nina's standard arsenal of attacks.

All I want to hear is how Nina is controlled in the game. The footage alone is enough for me to buy the damn game.
